Poésie Tissée’s Harlequin Chic

A harlequin pattern is a repeating pattern of contrasting diamonds or elongated squares standing on end. A comic, ballet or pantomime character from the Commedia dell'Arte and harlequinade. Traditionally, Harlequins sported a stylish half-mask, were dressed in multicolored, diamond-patterned tights, and carried a wooden sword or magic wand.

This classic pattern in woven form melds boldness, contrast and sharp geometric lines for a striking effect. In black and white, Harlequin Chic is can easily partner with both haute couture or jeans and cowboy boots.
