Polymer chemistry in natural and synthetic rubber

This slides explain natural and synthetic rubber and it's applications.

1. Disadvantages:- 1. It is plastic in nature and it is weak. 2. It becomes soft at high temperature, too brittle at low temperature. So it can be used in the temperature range (10-60degree only) 3. Relatively high cost of raw materials.

2. Advantages:- 1. It is a better insulator 2. It posses low water absorption tendency. 3. It has good tensile strength and extensibility.
