Exploration: Dream of the Night (4D Animation Design)
The following are the storyboard shots
Design Process Shot 1: Drawing inspiration from films and their opening scenes, I created the first shot. Using C4D for modeling and the Octane renderer for rendering, I built the scene and set the camera angle. Keyframe animation was used to animate the car, ensuring smooth camera motion. With Octane's material rendering, I added appropriate materials and lighting for the desired atmosphere. Shot 2: I modeled the buildings and cars in the scene using C4D. After creating UV maps and textures, I constructed the scene from the camera's perspective. Adjustments were made to lighting and ambiance, achieving the desired atmosphere. Corresponding materials were assigned to elements in the scene. Shot 3: Using C4D, I created a sphere and transformed it into a DNA shape. Adjustments were made to the scene using OC's lighting system and emissive materials. The camera was given a dynamic motion trajectory using the track function, capturing the animation.
Shot 4: Using C4D's modeling feature, I crafted the scene's buildings, roads, and characters. Rigging and keyframe animation brought the characters to life. To create a rainy ambiance, particle effects were employed. Lighting and materials were adjusted to enhance the scene's depth and realism. Shot 5: Employing C4D's modeling capabilities, I added realistic water ripples to the scene. Lotus flower models were created using a combination of modeling, cloning, and motion decay techniques. Lighting played a crucial role, with side lights, HDR environmental lighting, and a central red light accentuating the scene. Rendering water and lotus materials ensured seamless integration with the scene's atmosphere. Shot 6: Car, ground, background houses, and bicycle models were skillfully created using C4D's modeling feature. The camera was strategically positioned to frame the scene. Smoke simulation was achieved using a plugin, enhancing the scene's atmosphere. Lighting and material adjustments added the final touches to the desired ambiance. Shot 7: Characters were meticulously modeled using C4D's capabilities. Rigging and keyframe animation were applied using a plugin, bringing the characters to life. SSS (Subsurface Scattering) materials were used to create realistic skin and clothing. Rain was simulated using particle systems, intensifying the atmospheric ambiance of the dark scene. Camera animation was synchronized with the characters' movements for seamless transitions. Shot 8: The captivating eye animation of the characters began with facial reconstruction through modeling. Lighting was carefully set to create a dark and atmospheric tone. Camera and lighting animations were choreographed to ensure smooth transitions, enhancing the overall visual impact.
The visual design of the "Hi! Zhua !" brand aims to create a lively, warm, and creatively inspiring brand image. The brand logo centers around an adorable bear character, using soft and vibrant color combinations. The vibrant yellow and purple fusion evokes a relaxed and joyful fashion atmosphere, fostering friendly and interactive relationships with consumers. In the overall brand design, smooth lines and fluid curves highlight the brand's emphasis on innovation and fashion, making the products more appealing. Modern and easily readable typefaces ensure clear communication to the target audience. The trendy and stylish design of the "Hi! Zhua !" brand captures the interest of children and enjoys wide recognition from parents. By seamlessly blending cute elements with a fashionable flair, the brand has established itself as a trendsetter. The successful implementation and launch of the "Hi! Zhua !" brand project have solidified its position in the market. PART 2
Design Brief The brand's color palette prominently features a dreamy purple as the primary design tone, representing the brand's iconic color. Vibrant yellow is used as a complementary accent color to add a touch of liveliness. The design incorporates an abundance of trendy elements that perfectly align with the brand's identity, effectively enhancing its sense of energy. In terms of attention to detail, special consideration is given to incorporating doll-related elements and presenting them with meticulous embellishments. The overall design exudes a sense of trendiness while maintaining an aura of sophistication and refinement. Color Palette Design Design Exploration
PART 3 ROBOCUP JUNIOR RESCUE 2023 The project involved collaborative teamwork to participate in a competition. The team's main tasks included software programming and fabricating robot models. The robot utilized PID algorithms for precise line following and CAD software for blueprint design. Components were produced using cutting-edge 3D printing technology. The overall driving program was customized to the robot's specific tasks, including designing patrol routes, navigating obstacles, and delivering rescue packages, black balls, and silver balls to designated points of various colors. To improve the robot's capabilities, ultrasonic sensors were used for object detection and path feedback. The team's concentration on mechanical principles resulted in the development of a dependable grasping claw mechanism. The incorporation of light feedback allowed the robot to successfully complete the bulk of the competition challenges. Through collaborative teamwork in robot design, all team members improved their logical analysis and programming abilities. The idea is planned to compete in the prestigious French International Robot Design Competition and has already won two global honors. Red Alert MOD Production: Model Creation
PART 4 Red Alert MOD Production Design Description This work is based on Westwood Studios' well-known digital military simulation program "Command & Conquer: Red Alert". The models and code were modified based on the original files, and virtual vehicle mod designs were generated with 3D modeling and texture painting tools. The mod draws inspiration from the appearance of modern military vehicles and adds a futuristic and technical twist to the model features, staying true to the original work's thematic design. The patch includes seventeen military weapon and vehicle models that have been functionally integrated and debugged to work with the program's existing units. This allows users to download the mod and enjoy a more immersive military simulation experience based on the original game. Image 1: Model Effect Showcase Image 2: Internal Texture Showcase Design Process 1.To produce early design concepts, the original sketches and orthographic views of the weaponry were created in PHOTOSHOP while remaining consistent with the theme. 2.The orthographic images developed in PHOTOSHOP were imported into BLENDER, a 3D design software, and sculpted from rough to detailed. 3.UV mapping was used on the models to insert 2D textures into 3D meshes, which completed the model development. 4.The updated program code was linked to the models and imported into the program, where it was subjected to numerous error tests and debugging to confirm that the mod's features, such as emulating the game's "artillery fire" capabilities, worked properly. 5.Basic effect textures, such as weapon firing and explosions, were made with applications such as Photoshop. Realistic flame particle effects were created utilizing video effects tools such as Adobe After Effects. After integrating the effects and textures, they were tied to the perspective in the application. 6.Multiple views of the mod's effects were captured in films for debate and tweaking, ensuring the ultimate outcome of the mod's content.
