1.Abstract
Soilconservationpracticessuggestthatinappropriatesolutionsarecommonlyapplied,oftenachievingonlya
partialsolutiontotheidentified“problem”and/orunforeseendetrimentalimpacts.Studiesshowthatthe
implementationofsoilconservationmeasuresdependsonamultitudeoffactorsbutitisalsoclearthatrapid
changeinagriculturalsystemsonlyhappenswhenacleareconomicincentiveispresentforthefarmer.oilerosion
severelythreatensthesoilresourceandthesustainabilityofagriculture.
2.Introduction
Soilconservationisthepreventionoflossofthetopmost
layerofthesoilfromerosionorpreventionofreduced
fertilitycausedbyoverusage,acidification,salinizationor
otherchemicalsoilcontamination.Inbroadterms,soil
erosionoccurringatrateshigherthanacceptableisa
problem.Soilconservationistheactofsolvingthatproblem.
Yetwhilethatsoundssimple,inpracticeitisnot.Norshould
weexpectittobe.Erosionisanaturalprocessthatoccurs
inevitablyandcontinuously.However,itsratecanbegreatly
acceleratedbyremovalofprotectivevegetationandits
residuesandbymechanicalcultivationortramplingofthe
soil.Acceleratederosionmaycausegreatdamagestosoils
andtoecosystems.peoplearelookingintowaysofkeeping
ourplanetsound.Onesuchwaytodothisissoil
conservation.
3. Objective
The objective of this study is to evaluate the effective ways
of soil conservation as well as importance and general ideas
of soil conservation.

5.Result&Discussion:Manydifferenttechniqueshave
beeninventedthroughouttheyearswiththeaimof
preservingthenutrientlevelofthesoilandpreventing
erosion.Soilconservationisthepreventionofsoillossfrom
erosionorreducedfertilitycausedbyoverusage,
acidification,salinizationorotherchemicalsoil
contamination.Slash-and-burnandotherunsustainable
methodsofsubsistencefarmingarepracticedinsome
lesserdevelopedareas.Asequeltothedeforestationis
typicallylargescaleerosion,lossofsoilnutrientsand
sometimestotaldesertification.Amongallthetechniques
somemosteffectivemethodsareselectedtodiscuss.
Thewayyouplantyourcropscanhaveanimpactonthesoil.
Croprotationisaprocessthatworkstoconservesoil.Itis
accomplishedbyplantingandgrowingaseriousofdifferent
cropsinthesamesoil.Thisprocesspreventsovergrowthof
pathogensandalackoffertilityinthesoil,overall.
6.Conclusion:Inanumberofareaswheresoilconservationis
perceivedtobeimportantandhasreceivedconsiderableeffort,it
appearsthatconsiderableeffortandexpenditureiswasted.Uniformly,
therehasbeenastrongpreferenceforhighly-visiblestructures,which
maybeconsistentwithallthreesituationshaving–atonetimeor
another–elementsofregulatorycontrolandassessmentof
complianceforwhichhighly-visibleactionswouldbeconvenient.In
manysituations,aproblemsolvingapproachwouldleadtosomewhat
differentsoilconservationmethodsbeingadopted,andshouldachieve
ahigherlevelofsuccess.
