Look at the pictures, ). What comes in your mind? Do you really know the amount of water which is inside this glass and liter of coke container?
The pitcher holds 1 liter (l) of water while the glass contains 250 milliliter (ml) of water. So 1,000 liter ÷ 250 ml = 4 glasses of water. So 4 drinking glasses of water can be filled using 1 liter of water. Look at this pairs of containers.
The big bottle of soy sauce holds 1 liter and the small bottle holds 350 ml of soy sauce. 3 bottles x 350 ml = 1,050 ml
Contains 1 ml of medicine The capacity of teaspoon is 5 ml It takes 5 ml. full of medicine to fill a teaspoon
How much liquid each one can hold? Can you estimate the current capacity shown? Full capacity 4 liters. Estimated capacity 3 liters Fully capacity 5 liters. Estimated capacity 4 liters. How much amount of juice is needed to make the pitcher and the kettle full?
Can you estimate the capacity of these two? Full capacity 500 ml. Estimated capacity _________. Full capacity 8 L Estimated capacity _________. So, 1 liter is equivalent to 1,000 milliliter. To know the number of milliliters in a container like for example a bottle contains 350 ml, to know how many bottles in a liter divide 1,000 milliliters to 350 ml and the answer are the number of bottles. If you want to know the number of liters in 3 bottles containing 350 ml each multiply 350 ml by 3 the answer is 1,050 approximately there is 1 liter since in 1 liter (l) has 1,000 ml
Do the activity on page 210 of your book. Do the activity in this picture.
Convert each capacity measure 7 L ________mL 12 _________ mL 17L________mL 34L ________mL 45L ________mL 6000mL____________L 7000 mL___________L 17000mL___________L 20000mL _________ __L 10. 30000mL_____________L
Estimate the capacity of the following. 4 glasses of water containing 250mL each, how many liters are there? 5 liters of juice how many glasses are there if each glass contains 350 mL? 7000ml of soy sauce, how many bottles are there if each bottle contains 500Ml? 5 liters of catsup in a galloon, how many ml are there? 15000 ml of water, how many liters are there ?
If you want to convert liter to milliliter, what are you going to do? If you want to convert milliliter to liter, what are you going to do? Write the exact capacity of the following: 5,500 ml to ___________ L 60000 ml _____________L 10 L ________________ ml 19 L ________________ml 18000 ml_____________ L 5 bottles containing 350 ml _______ L 10 glasses of water containing 250 ml each _______________L 9 cans of pickles containing 280 ml each __________L 12 L ____________ml 30 L ____________ml
