Understanding the Review and View Tabs Deep dive into two powerful tabs that enhance editing, collaboration, and presentation. Useful for educators, students, business users, and professionals.

What Is the Review Tab? The Review tab is designed for proofreading, reviewing content, collaborating with others, and protecting your presentation. Groups: Proofing, Comments, Ink, Compare, Protect

Proofing Group (Review Tab) Purpose: Ensure content is free from errors. Tools: Spelling (F7), Grammar, Thesaurus, Translate, Language

Spelling and Grammar Underlines errors: red (spelling), blue (grammar). Use 'Spelling' to check document. Right-click for quick fixes .

Using Thesaurus in Presentations Find synonyms to improve vocabulary. Supports multiple languages. Useful for formal or academic slides.

Translate Tool in PowerPoint Translate words, phrases, or slides. Requires internet. Supports many languages including Pashto and Dari.

Set Language Tool Choose default proofing language. Supports multilingual content on different slides.

Comments Group Overview Add, edit, delete comments. Great for collaboration. Comments don’t print or show in slideshow.

How to Add and Use Comments Select object or text. Go to Review > New Comment. Others can respond or resolve.

Managing Comments Navigate: Previous/Next. Edit by selecting bubble. Use 'Delete' to remove.

Ink Group in Review Tab Draw directly on slides. Ideal for touchscreen devices. Used in meetings, lectures.

Using Inking Tools Pen, Highlighter, Eraser. Custom color and thickness. Highlight or annotate live.

Compare Feature in Review Tab Compare two versions of a presentation. Displays changes side-by-side. Accept or reject edits.

How to Use Compare Effectively Open original file. Go to Review > Compare. Changes are highlighted for review.

Protect Group in Review Tab Secure your presentation. Tools: Mark as Final, Restrict Editing, Password Protection.

Mark as Final Feature Makes file read-only. Adds final notification bar. Prevents edits but not full protection.

Restrict Access and Encrypting Files Use Info > Protect > Encrypt with Password. Only users with password can open/edit.

What Is the View Tab? Controls presentation display and editing. Groups: Presentation Views, Master Views, Show, Zoom, Window, Macros

Presentation Views Group Normal View, Outline View, Slide Sorter, Notes Page, Reading View. Each serves unique editing tasks.

Normal View (Default) Thumbnails left, editing center, notes below. Best for creating and editing.

Outline View Text-only outline of slides. Great for planning and structure. No design distraction.

Slide Sorter View Mini views of all slides. Easily reorder or duplicate. Best for long presentations.

Notes Page View Slide with speaker notes. Prepare speaking script. Can be printed for reference.

Reading View Fullscreen without slideshow mode. Allows taskbar access. Good for review.

Master Views Group Slide Master, Handout Master, Notes Master. Global design and formatting.

Slide Master Customize fonts, layouts, colors. Affects all related slides. Ensures consistency.

Handout and Notes Master Control printed layouts. Add logos, footers, etc. Professional look.

Show Group in View Tab Ruler: Align accurately. Gridlines: Layout guides. Guides: Custom alignment.

Zoom Group Adjust zoom for detailed editing. Use Zoom slider or Fit to Window. Helpful for diagrams.

Color/Grayscale Preview View in Color, Grayscale, Black & White. Prepares content for printing.

Window Group in View Tab New Window, Arrange All, Cascade, Switch Windows. Work with multiple files easily . New Window Opens a new window of the current document. Useful when you want to view two different parts of the same file side by side. Any changes made in either window are reflected in the same document. Arrange All Tiles all open Word documents so you can see them all at once. Helpful for comparing documents or copying content between them.

Continue… Cascade Arranges all open document windows in an overlapping cascade layout . You can see all title bars and easily switch between files. Switch Windows Shows a list of all open Word documents. Allows you to quickly switch from one document to another. Works well when you have many files open and need to move between them easily.
