Cause and effect is a relationship between events or actions, where one event (the cause) leads to or brings about another event (the effect). It’s a fundamental principle in understanding how things happen and why.
Cause refers to the reason something happens, while the effect is the result or outcome of that cause. This relationship is often used to explain both simple and complex processes in science, history, daily life, and more.
Examples:
Simple Cause and Effect: If it rains (cause), the ground becomes wet (effect).
Complex Cause and Effect: Smoking cigarettes (cause) can lead to lung cancer (effect), but factors like genetics, environment, and lifestyle can complicate the relationship.
Understanding cause and effect helps in making predictions, solving problems, and identifying the connections between actions and outcomes.

CAUSE EFFECT Because Because of Due to Owing to Since As a result Therefore Finally Thus So To make a cause effect sentence, we use a signal word: Cause Effect
Cause + comma + signal word + Effect Example : The park is dirty , so no one wants to go there Structure text Effect + S ignal word + Cause Example : Iam so sleepy because I played game until midnight
Signal word has different uses: Clause Phrase What’s the different? Clause = there is S, V, or P Example = The boy swim, He came late 2. Phrase = there is no S or V Example = this morning, run fast, in the park
SIGNAL WORD FOLLOWED BY CLAUSE Oleh = Jazila Atsna 1. Because Sinta was absent because she got bad cold yesterday Clause 2. Since Jenny has decided to move to Surabaya since there are more opportunities for employment in that city Clause 3. For He could not get a seat for he came too late Clause

Because of followed by “noun” (Phrase) Because followed by “Sentence” (Clause) Example; - Because of The ceremony was canceled because of the rain.
