About This Presentation

A neural network is a machine learning program, or model, that makes decisions in a manner similar to the human brain, by using processes that mimic the way biological neurons work together to identify phenomena, weigh options and arrive at conclusions.

History of Brain Chips Technology 1950s Theoretical foundations laid by researchers such as Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts. 1980s Early experiments with prosthetic limbs controlled by implants in the brain. 2000s Milestone achievements in neural interfaces and brain-computer interfaces. Present State-of-the-art developments in neuroprosthetics and cognitive enhancement . .

The neurouns transmit signals to other cell in body. The electrodes of the Neuralink chip are able to read these signals and controls external technologies like computers, smartphones . Neuralink Work

Experiments : A video released in 2021 shows a monkey using the device to play the video game Pong with his mind . 2022 appeared to show a monkey typing on a computer telepathically. Animals used 2007 in experiments include baboons, cats, cows, dogs, ferrets, fish, frogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, llamas, mice, monkeys , owls, pigs, quail, rabbits, rats and sheep.

The neurotech startup Neuralink has received approval to begin recruiting patients for its first in-human clinical trial. The company is building a brain implant that aims to help patients with severe paralysis control external technologies using neural signals.

Potential Applications Of Neuralink Medical Applications:- Treating patients with neurological disorders like Parkinson's or ALS through brain implants that could control tremors.

Cognitive enhancement Enhance human cognition through the implementation of AI. For instance, language translations and visualizations that could be processed instantaneously inside the brain . Virtual reality Playing virtual reality games that simulate natural movement patterns and can be controlled by thoughts.

Future of Neuralink with Humans Stage1: Understand and Correct Brain Disorder. Helps People with Serious Medical Needs. Stage2 : Preserve and Enhance One’s Ability. Stage3: Full Machine Interface. Super Powers like Telepathy,ControllingMachines .

Advantages of Neuralink Improved ability to learn. Human-AI communication and collaboration have improved. Paralyzed or Physically challenged.

Implanted or removed without damaging the brain  Use of lithium batteries Incomplete information on its impact on the human body Technology is expensive Moral and Psychological impact Hurdles And Risks

FDA Action Rejection:- According to a recent BioSpace article , Neuralink's application for conducting a human trial of its brain implant technology has been rejected by the FDA due to incomplete information on its impact on the human body.

FDA Approval March 2022, Neuralink made a further application to the FDA to establish its readiness to begin humans trials. One year and three months later, on May 25 2023, Neuralink finally received FDA approval for its first human clinical trial

Behind the Truth  Between 2018 and 2022, the company experimented on and killed 1,500 animals, according to a report from Reuters. In the report, Neuralink employees explained how experiments involving 86 pigs and two monkeys had to be repeated as a result of various human errors.

The Future of BCIs and Society Research Advancements: The development of Neuralink  could significantly accelerate our understanding of the human brain. By observing and analyzing neural activity in real-time, scientists could gain invaluable insights into brain function and unlock discoveries in psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive science
