2. Overview of the study The two most major variables of our study is the ‘demographic profile’ of senior high school learners and their ‘level of access and utilization of gadgets for educational use’ .

3. Overview of the study Question: Why is there a need to conduct the study? Answer: That is because our study, may or may not reveal to us whether or not a learners background has any underlying effect on their capability to access and utilize gadgets for their educational endeavors.

Overview of the study: Research Gap As we the researchers delved into this topic of ours, we have observed the lack if not the absence of studies on whether or not the ‘demographic profile’ of senior high school learners affect their level of access and utilization of gadgets for educational use, with most studies being about how gadgets impact or influence the Academic performance of learners.

5. Overview of the study: General Purpose The researchers seek to conduct this study in order to improve the way senior high school learners utilize gadgets for their educational endeavors and come up with methods to improve their access to said gadgets that better their quality of education

6. Framework of the Study Our study is anchored to a theoretical model proposed by Tinto (1975). According to his model, students who attend higher education possess a variety of attributes, experiences, and family backgrounds that may have a direct and indirect impact on their academic performance ( Christmann , 2017; Amparo et al., 2018 ).

7. Framework of the Study A big difference however in our study is that, we’re focused on the demographic profile of learners and how it may determine the level access and utilization of gadgets for educational use. Hence our proposed conceptual framework.

9. Statement of the Problem This study attempts to determine the level of Access and Utilization of SHS learners to gadgets for their educational use in Bangcud National High School for the S.Y. 2023-2024. Specifically , it seeks to answer the following questions :

What is the level of access of Senior High School Learners to gadgets for Educational use? What is the level of utilization of Senior High School Learners to gadgets for Educational use? Is there a significant difference between the Access and Utilization of Senior High School Learners to gadgets for Educational use when grouped according to Age and Gender ?

11. Scope and Delimitations The study will be limited to observing the relationship between student demographic profiles and their level of access and utilization of gadgets for educational use. . Focusing only on age and gender demographics and their relationship to the level of learners access and utilization of gadgets for educational use.

12. Scope and Delimitations The said study will be conducted in the Bangcud Nation High School campus in the school year of 2023-2024. The study will also only have Senior High School learners, from 11th grade to 12th grade as participants/respondents to our study. Lastly, the study will be conducted by collecting responses to surveys from the participants and analyzing and discerning any recurring patterns in the responses provided by the participants of the study.

13. Definition of Terms Access - the capability to make use of or take advantage of something; the right or opportunity to use or benefit from something. (Oxford Languages 2024). - to have the capability to make use of a resource, service or tool that betters quality of education, freely (Conceptual). - to be able to use or obtain something such as a service: (Cambridge Dictionary, 2024). Utilization – the act of using; the action of making practical and effective use of something. (Oxford Languages, 2024). - from the root word ‘utilize’ which means to make use of or to use something (Conceptual) Demographic Profile - a description of a particular type of customer, including their sex, age, income, etc (Cambridge Dictionary, 2024) - a set of background information pertaining to characteristics unique to the identity of an individual learner such as age, gender, religion and etc (Conceptual ).

Definition of Terms Education – the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university (Oxford Languages, 2024) - knowledge acquired by learning and teaching (Conceptual) Gadgets - a small mechanical or electronic device or tool, especially an ingenious or novel one (Oxford Languages, 2024). - a tool used for accessing applications, software or digital services and tools to better the quality of education (Conceptual). Educational Use - Educational use means used for the purposes of providing instruction or education to the public (Law Insider, 2024). - to make use of for educational and instructional purposes; to make use of a resource or service to better education (Conceptual).
