6. What is Glamour? Basic Definition: It’s a Mental illusion intensified by desire. Glamour has been regarded as a curious attempt of what are called the dark forces to deceive and hoodwink well meaning aspirants. Many fine people are almost flattered when they are “up against” some aspect of glamour, feeling that their demonstration of discipline has been so good that black forces are interested sufficiently to attempt to hinder their fine work by submerging them in clouds of glamour. Nothing can be further from truth. The idea is itself part of the glamour of present time, and has its roots in pride and satisfaction.

Illusion: Illusion: It is an aspect of the soul’s quality which has manifested due to inability of the soul to see or Cognize with clarity until such time as it has learnt to pour the light of the soul through into the mind and brain. ( Sarpa Rajju Nyaya) mirage . Insert picture What is illusion: Is primarily of a mental quality and was characteristic of the attitude of those people who are more intellectual than emotional. They have outgrown glamour as usually understood. It is misunderstanding of the ideas and thought forms of which they are guilty and of misinterpretations. 11. Glamour Glamour is astral in character and is far more potent at this time than illusion owing to the enormous majority of people who function astrally always. The problem of Glamour is found when the mental illusion is intensified by desire. What theosophists call as “ Kaama-Manas ” produces glamour. It is illusion on the astral plane.

12. Nature of the astral world. Astral body helps Soul to experience which is not self. Human astral body is predominantly made up of EM4 material of the Astral plane. 4 th subplane of the Astral plane and 4 th subplane of each plane represents Human kingdom of the 4 th chain,4 th round of the 4 th globe planet Earth. EM5, EM6, EM7 corresponds to Animal,Plant and mineral kingdoms. These materials are also present within the astral body of humans often bringing out the lower nature of these kingdoms Astral body produces subtle colors, connected to sensations, desires and emotions.

13. Nature of the astral world. Sensations from the sense organs reach astral body through energy body. Then self becomes aware of something that is not self. Through these it ..experiences pleasure and pains and attaches itself to senses. From here begins the slavery to senses. When self gets frustrated by sense perceptions which are not self it turns its attention inwards and realizes that it was looking for itself and not something outside. This is how soul overcomes glamour by slow evolutionary process under going many many incarnations. Astral plane particles are made up of particles of the bodies of the Devas called Agni devas . They provide form material for our desires. Agni devas presiding deity is Varuna . Astral plane is cosmic liquid plane corresponding to water part of the Logo’s physical body. They are made of astral elemental essence. they are involutionary in nature very difficult to control.

14. 666 the Satan’s number. EM6 the 6 th su plane of the astral plane is the place where astral elements of the lower nature are born. 6 th plane of the human physical plane is water. And 6 th plane of the human planes is astral plane. Together they symbolically represent Satan where astral elementals influence most. The influence of these elementals is very much like Kaama Deva tried to influence Lord Shiva by striking him with his cupid’s arrow. How Shiva destroyed Kaama deva by his 3 rd eye is the actual method to overcome glamour by destroying with light of the soul emanating from 3 rd eye. We will discuss and practice this technique at the end of the session .

15. Nature of the astral world Seperativeness , Criticism and pride are the breeding ground of the astral elementals. Purification from these is necessary to Mastery of the Astral plane for the 2 nd initiate. Astral plane is foggy with too many colors and is difficult to see. Astral plane is a plane of distortion due to glamour. So we need discernment between our astral aura and astral influence of others.

16. Complications in the Astral world. Astral world is inhibited by 1. Astral elementals 2. Dead people. 3. From other people. 4. from our own self 5. Racial, national, religious etc desires. These above influences things make astral world very foggy and difficult to see clearly. That is why Astral clairvoyance is undesirable and our protective web is so important. Atral world is actually the kurukshetra or the battle ground or the faltering ground where disciple falters in understanding and doing the right thing, like Arjuna got overcome by confusion at the time of battle.

17. Glamour Astral Glamour is an energy and an energy of great potency. It has such an ancient rhythm, being inherent in the astral substance itself. It is most difficult to become aware of it or understand it. It’s the result of age long activity of the human desire. it constitutes a path of least resistance or involutionary . It is Atlantian in nature. it was brought to very high point of development in that race. It can therefore be finally dissipated by Aryan race using right technique.

18. Glamour Individual learning to dissipate glamour has to do two things 1. Stand in the spiritual being (Associating oneself with soul not the body) 2. keep the mind steady in the light.

19. Major type of Glamours affecting the world. The Glamour of materiality. The glamour of sentiment. The glamour of devotion. The glamour of pair of opposites. The glamour of the path.

20. Glamour of materiality.(Ray 5) It is the cause of all economic distress in the world. It can be simply defined as Lobha or greed( Dhana Vyamoha ) or love for money and material possessions It can be direct or indirect cause in most of the economic crimes such as manipulation of share market, corruption, cheating and dishonesty in business etc.

21. Glamour of sentiments ( Vyamoha )(ray 2). It affects the good people who are many times not affected by glamour of materiality. It’s a desire to love and being loved in turn and willingness to do anything to show and evoke this sentiment in others. The selfishness of the people who are desirous of being unselfish is great. It affects human relationships such as expectation of husband and wife from each other, parents and children. It’s a desire to serve in order to draw forth a responsive affection.

22. Glamour of devotion(Ray 6) This Glamour affects most Devotees, aspirants and probationary disciples. It constitutes strong attachment to a diety , teachings , values or religion and disregarding others as false. Or simply religious fanatism . It causes an aspirant to become Koopa manduka (frog in the well). The fanatism and narrow view point causes Masters of wisdom very difficult to reach and guide their students and aspirants. It causes distortion of teachings and causes religious intolerance and narrow mindedness. Its one of the main causes of religious wars, bloodshed in the piscian history.

23. Glamour of devotion One of the most difficult to overcome and causes lengthy imprisonment of mind in this glamour. It is very difficult to penetrate this dense and glittery fog of this glamour. Reason for this glamour to exist is: the devotee is functioning from solar plexus and not heart. The inclusivity becomes less. India is one country most affected by this glamour.

24. Overcoming of the Glamour of devotion Contact the greater self through the medium of the higher self and thus loose sight of little self. Its reactions, its desires and its intensions. The pure love of the soul which is not impersonalized in any way and which seeks no recognition can then pour into the world of glamour which surrounds the devotee and mist of his devotion( upon which he prides himself) will melt away.

25. Glamour of pair of opposites This Glamour is dense foggy in nature, sometimes colored in joy and bliss and sometimes colored in gloom and depression as disciple swings back and forth between dualities. this condition persists as long as the emphasis is laid on the feeling. The feeling will run the gamut between a potent joyfulness as the man seeks to identify himself with his object of devotion or aspiration, or fails to do so and therefore succumbs to the blackest despair and sense of failure. All this is however is astral in nature and sensuous in quality and is definitely not the quality of the soul at all. Sometimes a disciple may remain in this glamour for many years. To overcome this glamour one has to polarize himself mentally than polarizing himself in feelings .

26. Glamour of pair of opposites Simplest way to overcome this glamour is to just say “ I am not the emotions and carry on with work”. Disciple also must learn to find triplicity in duality . Triplicity in duality means in the pair of two opposites one has to find the middle path or Buddha’s path Secret of the world glamour lies hid in the thought that this triple differentiation veils the secret of creation. God himself produced the pair of opposites-Spirit and the matter- and also produced the middle way which is that of the conscious aspect or the soul aspect. Ponder on this deeply.

27. Glamour of the Path Pride, savior complex, the service complex and various distortions of the reality which man encounters on the path are some of these glamour on the path. High Ambition, selfish interpretation, self centeredness, self immolation, self aggressiveness, self assertiveness in the spiritual work. Being humble, being rooted in practicality, removing personal equation or selfish purpose hidden behind the part of the divine plan being carried out(looking for credit, name, fame, position, authority) can help us to overcome this particular glamour.

28. Rays and glamours Ray 1. The glamour of physical strength. The glamour of personal magnetism. The glamour of self-centeredness and personal potency. The glamour of "the one at the centre ." The glamour of selfish personal ambition. The glamour of ruler ship, of dictatorship and of wide control. The glamour of the Messiah complex in the field of politics. The glamour of selfish destiny, of divine right of kings personally exacted. The glamour of destruction. The glamour of isolation, of aloneness. of aloofness. The glamour of superimposed will--upon others and upon groups.

29. Rays and glamours Ray 2. The glamour of the love of being loved. The glamour of popularity. The glamour of personal wisdom. The glamour of selfish responsibility. The glamour of too complete an understanding, which negates right action. The glamour of self-pity, a basic glamour of this ray. The glamour of the Messiah complex, in the world of religion. The glamour of fear, based on undue sensitivity. The glamour of self-sacrifice. The glamour of selfish unselfishness. The glamour of self-satisfaction. The glamour of selfish service.

30. Rays and glamours Ray 3. The glamour of being busy. The glamour of cooperation with the Plan in an individual not a group way. The glamour of active scheming. The glamour of creative work--without true motive. The glamour of good intentions, which are basically selfish. The glamour of "the spider at the center." The glamour of self-importance, from the standpoint of knowing, of efficiency. The glamour of devious and continuous manipulation.

31. Rays and glamours Ray 4. The glamour of harmony, aiming at personal comfort and satisfaction. The glamour of war. The glamour of conflict, with the objective of imposing righteousness and peace. The glamour of vague artistic perception. The glamour of psychic perception instead of intuition. The glamour of musical perception. The glamour of the pair pf opposites, in the higher sense.

34. Rays and glamours Ray 7. The glamour of Magical Work. The glamour of the relation of the opposites. The glamour of the subterranean powers. The glamour of that which brings together. The glamour of the physical body. The glamour of the mysterious and the secret. The glamour of Sex Magic. The glamour of the emerging manifested forces.

35. Overcoming of the Glamour. Pride , seperativeness and criticism are the breeding ground of all kinds of glamour . One has to erase repeatedly these energies from one’s aura to overcome glamour. “ Hard straight thinking” or reflective thinking : When we do IRFR we most of the times put the mistake that we did or tendency to such mistakes on the screen and erase it. then make a firm resolution that we are doing the right thing. That should help us, but we miss out on giving some hard straight thinking on what was our intension behind doing wrong or the root cause which made us do a mistake in our behavior. If we can spare some time after IRFR on what purpose lead us to do that mistake in the first place? we may find that we were driven by Illusion, Glamour or Maya and we need to overcome these. We may be surprised to find that most of the times its Pride, seperativness and criticism were the root causes .

36. Pride, Seperativeness , Criticism In most of the cases careful analysis would show that No criticism was really required. Or is counter productive. It was non of our business to criticize, or we are simply gossiping. one may be taking pride in the achievement or satisfaction that one is a better disciple. (comparing with others) There may be sense of seperativness or superiority. Such analysis shows us which kind of glamour we may be experiencing and then we can proceed to overcome it.

37. Maya What is maya : Maya is not easy to define because it is related to form building activity of the planetary Logos himself. The dual physical body (Dense physical and etheric) is produced, created, motivated, energized and forces emanating from those levels whereon the soul has rightly or wrongly engineered a reaction of identification. This identification of the soul with the physical body itself is Maya. This Maya makes him what he is , they give him his temperament, profession , quality upon the physical plane. It makes him positive or negative to various types of impacting energy, they give him his character and make him what he appears to others, it produces his coloring, his capacities and his personality. With all these identifies himself, he believes himself to be the form, the medium through which he attempts to express his desires and ideas. This complete identification with the transient creation and with the outer appearance is Maya

38. Maya Is vital in character and is a quality of force. It is essentially the energy of the human being as it swings into activity through the subjective influence of the mental illusion or astral glamour or both in combination Ex: When we use Magnified healing technique(Master healing technique) is used. Sexual urge of the patient increases. This is influence of etheric energy. Similarly in YPV level 3 we activate or inhibit certain chakras to bring about change in behavior of the patient. This is the subjective influence of etheric forces on the person due to quality of energy. When the Illusion is glorified by emotions and then etherisized deep into the instincts and becomes part of cell memory. It becomes maya . Animals are not affected by illusions and glamours but are affected by Maya due to instincts of self preservation.

39. Maya Due to identification with Body due to Maya. Soul becomes prisoner of the body, of the senses ,of the desires this happens due to quality of wrong identification called Avidya / Bhram or Illusion. This is also can be one of the reasons why the creator is called Brahma (creator of Bhrama ) Man is made in the image of God. So is God also same? The main difference between God and Man is God Practices Divine indifference with his creation, i.e he does not identify himself with what he has created. This is what makes him God all powerful. And identification with body what makes man limited and helpless. That is why Indifference is the technique to overcome Maya .

40. Dweller on threshold This is usually regarded as presenting the final test of man’s courage, and as being in the nature of gigantic thought form or factor which has to be dissipated, prior to taking initiation. Just what this thoughtform is , few people know, but their definition includes the idea of a fabricated form, constructed sometimes by the disciple’s Master to test his sincerity. Some regard it as sum total of the man’s faults, his evil nature, which hinders his being recognized as fit to tread the path of holiness. None of these definitions , however , give true idea of the reality. It is always present , swings however into activity only on the path of discipleship, when the aspirant becomes occultly aware of himself as as a result of his interior illusion, astral glamour and maya being now an integrated personality.

41. Dweller on threshold Dweller on threshold is in reality a vitalized thought form embodying mental force, astral force and vital energy or Prana . In Sanatana Dharma this is called “ Paapa Purusha . It is more like an a separate being within ourselves who is made up of all that is negative or unwholesome within us. It is generally understood that Dweller on Threshold is a covering or obstruction made up of all that is negative in humanity and prevents greater light coming down to earth. That is true wrt to earth. But dweller on threshold exists also on the individual basis. Like our energy body is part of earth’s energy body, our individual dweller on threshold is a part of entire humanity’s dweller on threshold hovering all over earth.

42. Techniques to overcome Illusion: Technique of presence (Developing intuition) Glamour: Technique of light (Developing inner light and will) Maya: Technique of indifference. Dweller on Threshold: Union with soul or merging of dweller with Angel of presence.

43. Technique of Presence. Technique of Presence is a methodology by which a disciple can develop intuition. The technique is more suitable for a 3 rd initiate or higher. It is based on principle that Buddhic plane or intutional plane being higher than mental plane. Intuition can dispel Illusions on the mental planes. To Develop real intuition one needs to develop certain degree of oneness with the creation of God. Intuition works on understanding by integration or seeing oneness in observer and things observed.

44. Steps to the Technique of presence. Disciple has to Recognize Presence of divinity in every person every being, in entire creation. Ex: First few stanzas of EOG. Master concludes presence of God in nature by recognizing his intelligence , power and his presence in Rose, in Chemicals, in DNA , Br ain, Heart etc. This step takes quite sometime as it becomes natural state of the disciple .

45. Steps to technique of presence Think of the higher purpose behind common incedents that happen in life, recognize greater plan behind them. Create triple light of intuition. By fusing light of the personality or incarnated soul with light of the Soul or Higher soul (by recognizing the Presence of God or uniting factor in both). Fuse this combined light with universal light of God whose Presence disciple is practicing to recognize in his daily life in step 1 and 2. Focus this light on the World Problem for which aspirant/disciple wishes to help humanity with.

46. Steps to Technique of Presence. Hold on this light on the problem as long as possible and let go. Sudden idea (Higher intuition)will dawn on the mind of the disciple, clue that is needed that will unlock the door of science/psychology/religion or a suitable line of service on which disciple will have to work. (Ex: Master’s line of service was to bring knowledge of Pranic healing to common masses). He hears an “Intruding Agent of Light”/he may see a vision/hear a voice/register a message giving him the Primary Revelation or Primary purpose or plan to implement (ex: Great Vision) Disciple then returns back to mental plane to focus and study the idea and form basic concepts to embody the revelation.

47. Steps to Technique of Presence When the idea reaches the mental plane or plane of illusions the Fire in the idea consumes the mind of the revealer (disciple) and those who received the revelations from the revealer (his students or co sadhaks ). The fire in the idea is actually the God himself and besciple gets possessed by the idea. He further meditates on it and receives further information from intuitional plane to fulfil the primary idea. This is called secondary Revelation Ex: Master’s primary purpose was to develop Pranic healing, he received many teachings through inner transmission or direct perception/intuition to fulfill this purpose such as Master healing technique, blood cleansing techniques etc.

48. Steps to Technique of Presence By revelation of the truth and fixing mind on the primary purpose (such as Great Vision) illusions of the mind are dispelled by the all consuming fire of God with in the idea. Further the idea descends into Astral plane it becomes Doctrine and evokes emotional commitment, motivation and becomes a Mission and work begins on the Physical plane and thus Humanity is helped forward.

49. Nature of the Ideas or Revelations These ideas are usually very simple but hides inside them profound truth and one may need life time or many life times to study and understand many facets of such Truth. Examples of such idea are simple teachings such as LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR MERCY IS THE ROOT OF RELIGION etc. The one who is consumed by these ideas gives up all illusions of Power, superiority and dogmas surrounding religion. He will not be interested anymore in building churches and temples of stones and marbles gathering money. They will become interested in building inner temples and sanctuaries in heart of men and help world to walk the path of light. They find their way back to Christ amid illusions of Dogmas, culture and superstition.

50. Technique of light

51. Technique of Light(Dispersion of Glamour) Principle: It is based on the idea that Astral world is actually not real. It is reflection of Light of the mind and light of matter. The light emanating in the astral plane is not real. By using combined light of the soul, light of mind, and light of matter the cloud/mist of the glamour can be dissipated. Center of the head is the area where this combined light can be gathered and projected outward to bring the cloud of the glamour can be focused upon. The falsehood of the glamour stands revealed in this light. Further to dissipate this glamour will aspect of the soul is used in the form of affirmation, chanting mantra OM and making this will one pointed like laser .

52. Technique of Light Step1 . Go through the list of Glamour of different rays and choose the glamours which you believe are affecting you at this point of time. Technique is to be done on one glamour at a time. Try to understand the nature of this glamour and how it is affecting you. Step2. Make an invocation. Step3. Be aware of your entire body, imagine there a light in the physical cells. Be aware of this light. Now be aware of your energy body it also has a light. Fuse these two lights together by inhaling deeply and chanting mantra Om as you exhale (silently or loudly). Imagine both the lights are merging in each other and becoming one. This is the light of the matter.

53. Technique of light. Step4: Now be aware of your mental body. Fuse the combined light of the matter with light of the mental body by chanting another OM as in step 3 (here we are not fusing light of astral body as we are going to work on it , and also astral light is not considered real light as per this technique) Step 5:Now shift your awareness above your head. be aware of the light of the soul. Infuse this light of the soul with combined light of physical, etheric and mental bodies by chanting OM. Step 6: Be aware of the center of your head the area between your pineal and pituitary gland. Concentrate the combined light at this place. Step7:Now imagine astral plane is in front of you and you are the seeing the cloud of glamour that you have chosen to work upon .

54. Technique of light. Project a brilliant beam of focus light or search light from the center of your head passing from eyebrow center on this glamour. Now the glamour is totally exposed in the combine light of the soul and matter. Now to dissipate this glamour we will bring will of the soul into picture. Imagine a sharp laser coming out from the center of the head in the middle of the search light and penetrating the glamour. Mentally affirm The power of light prevents the appearance of this glamour (name the glamour). The power of the light negates the quality of Glamour from affecting me. The power of the light destroys the life behind the Glamour.

55. Technique of light. Now inhale gather the will and exhale and chant Om mentally. Imagine the glamour is getting dissipated from inside and dispersing off the cloud of glamour and exposing the light of the soul like sun in the sky. Now withdraw the laser light and light beam back to center of the head. Repeat the process for next glamour. After completing the exercise. Release excess energy by blessing the earth, rooting and sweeping the excess energy from the center of the head all over the body as we do in soul meditation .

56. Techniques of Indifference. This technique involves control of physical body and its tendency of getting influenced by etheric forces through breathing techniques, Hatha yoga, Use of sacred world Om. Basically control of physical body and senses through energy body. Which means we are already doing this using YPV healing techniques This book however discusses about use of third eye or development of inner spiritual eye through which soul can direct/dissipate etheric energies. But the actual technique of developing 3 rd eye is not given in the book. Following steps are outlined to develop indifference. Through concentration ( Abhyasa ) Through detachment(Vairagya)

57. Techniques of Indifference. Force distribution and manipulation upon etheric plane: There are seven factors which condition the quality of the forces which influence etheric body. 1.Ray of the soul 2.Ray of personality 3.Ray of mind 4.Ray of emotional nature (astral body) 5.Ray of the physical body 6.Energy of the sun sign 7.Influence of the rising sign ( lagna )

58. Techniques of Indifference. The influence of these forces on the etheric body is to be controlled and manipulated by the development and use of inner eye and combining it with energies of two physical eyes and directing soul energy through this triangle. However the exact technique to develop inner eye is not given in the book. The technique of Light to dispel glamour gives some idea or hints on developing this inner eye. Following steps are outlined to practice indifference. 1.The disciple discovers the focus of his identification. 2. He ascertains the nature of forces he is in the habit of using and which perpetually seems to swing him into action.(similar to scanning and seeing which chakra is malfunctioning)

59. Techniques of Indifference. 3.He becomes aware of the strength and frequency of this force expression(overactive/underactive, congested/depleted) 4. He becomes conscious of the quality of the forces employed, their ray relation and astrological significance ( colour pranas present, their properties ) 5.He identifies the centers (chakras) in the etheric body and becomes aware of their individual existence as force agents (identifying which chakras need to be treated) 6.The two triangles of Vision and direction in the head reach a stage of organization (inner eye, right and left eye) as developed instrument to manipulate the forces. 7. The galvanizing of the physical body into activity through the medium of the directing agencies in the head and through centers up the spine (cleansing, energizing, activating , inhibiting chakras or energy body)

60. Techniques of Indifference. Using science of breath : this is nothing but using breathing techniques such as rhythmic yogic breathing, and other arhatic breathing exercises to purify , strengthen and control the energy body.
