Kirchhoff's law
OUtline Presentation title 3
Purpose 1. To be familiar with Kirchhoff's voltage and current law. 2. To verify the KVL and KCL with help of simple series parallel circuit
Theory In 1845 a German physicist, Gustav Kirchhoff developed a pair of laws which deal with conversation of current and energy within electrical circuits. The rules are commonly known as: Kirchhoff's Current law. One law dealing with the current flow around a closed circuit, known as Kirchhoff's current law and other one algebraic sum of all voltage in any closed path in a circuit known as Kirchhoff's Voltage law Presentation title 5
KCL Kirchhoff's current law states that for a parallel path the total current entering a circuits junction is exactly equal to the total current leaving the same junction . Presentation title 6
Let's have a example: 7
8
KVL Kirchhoff’s voltage law is a fundamental circuit law that states that the algebraic sum of all the voltages around a closed path is zero Presentation title 9

summary From the above discussion we have realized that if voltage is greater current will be also greater Value of Kirchhoff's law equation more accurate than the value indicate in ammeters KCL can be used to find the unknown current at any junction point. Using KVL one can determine the potential drop across a resistance. One can determine the current through any resistance or branch by using Kirchhoff’s laws. Another important use of KVL is to find the unknown resistance in a loop. Presentation title 13
