By: Bhangadiya Brijesh P. Enrollment No.:210470116064 Roll No.:21it041 Subject: Environmental Science College: V.V.P. Eng. College ,Rajkot. Water Pollution

Any p hysical ( temerature , oxygen), chemical (mercury), or biological (disease, sewage) change to water that adversely e ffects its use by living things. In other words the unwanted substances added or mixed with the water which affects the quality of water which is not favourable for living beings. WHAT IS WATER POLLUTION???

Human depends on very small reservoirs of water for all our needs. Water covers over the 70% of the earth’s surface and is a very important resource for all people and the environment. Water pollution affects drinking water, rivers, lakes, and oceans all over the world. This consequently harms human health and natural environment WATER POLLUTION

Sources of water pollution Factories. Sewage lines. Oil wells. Domestic waste. Acid rain. Oil tanks breaking

Extinction of living species. Several skin diseases. Lung diseases. Marine life extinction. Destruction of living cycle. Effects of water pollution

RIVER BHADAR

1976 v/s 2022

Bhadar also known as Bhadar Ganga is the one of the holiest river of india which flows through the city near rajkot named jetpur . Bhadar being the holiest river has a great importance since ancient time. Bhadar is mentioned as BHADAR GANGA in all the vedas and purans . Bhadar river is one of the longest river of saurashtra in gujarat . Bhadar River

There are about 2000 small and big textile industries in jetpur . This industries emits the coloured water which is poured into the bhadar river. Due to the emission of coloured water in the river bhadar river got polluted in a small time span. Causes to the pollution of B hadar

The full form of GPCB is Gujarat Pollution Controll Board. GPCB is actively taking actions in the pollution control of river bhadar and jetpur . Actions by GPCB

Today if you see the water of river bhadar it is not transparent but it is colour full. It is like that if u wanna drink anykind of drink go to river bhadar and drink any colour u want..... Not only the water of the bhadar river but today the areas near river bed is also affected. Today if anyone makes a bore near river area the colour of the underground water is becoming red . Effects of textile industries on B hadar

Bhadar dam 2 overflow in 2018

Jetpur ( Bhadar river) all villages in this Dhoraji ( Bhadar Dam 2) whole route uses Whole Dhoraji city driks this water this water for In ocean near Porbandar irrigation Route of the polluted water

Solution to this on today

Seeing the adverse effects of industrial water in river bhadar GPCB and Jetpur Dying And Printing Assosiation made a new plant near bhatgam to treat the industrial water. Few years ago the water was drained to the plant through the pipelines. But today the water is carried through tankers from the industries to the plant located at approx. 10 kms far from jetpur . A Water Treatment plant near Bhatgam

Today government is planning to carry this industrial water through a big pipeline from jetpur to porbandar of approx. 100 kms distance.

Since many years government is trying to solve the problem of this industrial water pollution. But till the date many solutions came and they itself became a problem.

Let’s not only hope but take our part to solve this problem. So that our grand childrens can drink the water that we are drinking today. Not as that of the water of River BHADAR today......

Bhadar Pollutio n Since : ???????????? To Be Continued....?????
