Overview The Philippine Railways Institute (PRI) , created as a research and training center under the Department of Transportation ( DOTr ), serves as the planning, implementing, regulating and administrative entity for the development of human resources in the railways sector, to ensure efficient, reliable and safe railway transportation services. This IBM SkillsBuild program will focus on PRI personnel, railway industry workers, and trainees, providing them with essential digital skills. The collaboration between IBM and PRI will deliver access to online learning, fostering expertise in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, data science and cybersecurity, ultimately strengthening the Philippine railway sector's workforce. 2

Given their involvement in various committees, each one requires specialized training to enhance their competencies. This initiative aligns with the IBM SkillsBuild Program, incorporating digital and technical skill development. This ensures that each one receives relevant, industry-aligned training, enhancing their ability to contribute effectively to the development and sustainability of the railway sector. This structured approach will provide PRI with a clear pathway for growth while ensuring that it maintains a skilled and competent workforce. PRI Management and Personnel Development Pathway The Learner’s Journey follows a structured approach, considering the committees & aligned learning plans, to enhance instructional effectiveness and technological adaptation.
