Types of fingerprint There are three types of fingerprint. 1)Arch 2) Loop 3) Whorl

Principles of fingerprint 1) Individuality 2) permanence 3) Universality 4) Classifiable

Individuality

Permanence

Universality Fingerprint is universal in nature. Fingerprint has universal characteristic as fingerprint have their unique characteristics which are also known as individual characteristics including bridge, hook, Bifurcation, double bifurcation, trifurcation, etc Position of these individual characteristics are different in each fingerprint. This is universal evidence.

Classifiable We can classify our fingerprint into 1. Arch a. Plain Arch b. Tented Arch 2. Whorl a. Plain whorl b. Twinned Whorl c. Central Whorl d. Double Whorl e. Accidental Whorl 3. Loop a. Ulnar Loop b. Radial Loop

We use this principle for solving cases in which forensic expert found fingerprint pattern on crime scene.
