Brief Description
The purpose of this presentation is to give an understanding of the
Methods, Plant and Sequence to construct a high-rise building.
This presentation can be used to engage Stakeholders and to get the Site
Teams commitment to the programme. Also can be used for Induction
Training and as a way to capture and share knowledge.
Project Execution Plan (PEP) details how aproject will be executed,
monitored and controlled. High in Educational Value and easily
understood. Recommended for Continuing Professional Development
(CPD)
This Presentation is innovative and has many beneficial uses.

Column formwork can be moved with
only one crane lift complete with push-
pull props and concreting platform with
guard rails and ladder –alternatively
moved by hand using transportation
wheels.

Shuttering to Floor Slabs –Table forms
General Items
Brief Description
Table forms are preassembled formwork
and false units and are moved
horizontally on wheels or a trolley and
vertically from floor to floor by crane or
by a lift fixed to the outside of the
building

Main Equipment
Climbing Tower Cranes
Brief Description
A climbing tower crane lifts itself up using a climbing
attachment with hydraulic jacks that surrounds the mast.
The climbing attachment lifts itself up off the erected mast
and inserts a new mast section.
General Items
Concrete Pump –Self Climbing
General Items
Brief Description
The concrete is pumped by a diesel powered, static
concrete pump, through a fixed 125 mm pipeline, to
the folding placing boom. The boom is mounted on
a steel column of up to 20 metres high. The column
is supported by a cross base or a system of floor
frames set into the concrete floors.
With floor frames , the whole column / boom
assembly can climb with the building as the work
progresses.
For placing concrete pumping is faster than using a
crane and skip and is less likely to be adversely
affected by high winds.

Protection Screen -Self climbing
General Items
Brief Description
Protection screens enclose the top floors of a high
rise enabling construction work to be carry out in
great safety, and protected from the weather.
The screen will contain any debris and tools that
would otherwise fall to the surface.
The Protection screen can be moved upwards
hydraulically or using a tower crane.
Ensuring Verticality
General Items
Brief Description
Leave 3holes in the floor, forming a
right angle. Use a laser plumb bob and a
transparent sheet on the floors above.
"Jump" the laser every 5 or 6 floors.
