WHAT IS THIS TOPIC ABOUT? Here you could give a brief description of the matter you want to talk about. For example, if you want to talk about Mercury, you could say that it’s the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest one in the Solar System. It’s only a bit larger than our Moon, and its name has nothing to do with the liquid metal, since it was named after the Roman messenger god, Mercury

Despite being red, Mars is a cold place, not hot. It’s full of iron oxide dust, giving the planet its reddish cast Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest one in the Solar System Saturn is the ringed planet. It’s a gas giant, composed mostly of hydrogen and helium MERCURY SATURN MARS DEFINITION OF CONCEPTS

FEATURES OF THE TOPIC Despite being red, Mars is a cold place, not hot. It’s full of iron oxide dust MARS It’s a gas giant and the biggest planet in our Solar System JUPITER Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest one in the Solar System MERCURY

is the approximate value of the golden ratio 1.61803 3.141592653 are the first ten digits of π (pi) are the different letters used to represent Roman numerals is the year in which the radical symbol was first used in print 1525 7

CASE STUDY The square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides in a right triangle

The hypotenuse is the longest side of a right triangle, which is opposite the right angle The abacus is the oldest calculating tool, and it’s still used in some countries The number or expression placed underneath the radical sign is called radicand DID YOU KNOW THIS? To make a paper plane, it’s best if you use a square paper instead of a rectangular one

Despite being red, Mars is a cold place, not hot. It’s full of iron oxide dust Venus has a beautiful name and is the second planet from the Sun PROBLEM VS. SOLUTION SOLUTION PROBLEM

Step 3 Step 2 Step 1 Venus has a beautiful name and is the second planet from the Sun Despite being red, Mars is a cold place, not hot. It’s full of iron oxide dust Neptune is the fourth-largest planet in our Solar System PROCESS

Saturn is the ringed one. It’s a gas giant, composed mostly of hydrogen and helium Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest one in our Solar System Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun and the fourth-largest in our Solar System OVERVIEW DIAGRAM

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, but does its name have anything to do with the liquid metal? EXERCISE Contrary to popular belief, no. The truth is that this planet was named after the Roman messenger god, Mercury

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, and Neptune is the farthest one. Calculate the distance between these two planets ASSIGNMENT
