The Miracle of Faith

Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. Through faith, we experience His miracles, guidance, and blessings. Today, we will explore how faith has influenced biblical characters and continues to shape our lives."

Mark 8 :5-8 Jesus Feeds the Four Thousand 8 During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said, 2 “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. 3 If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance.” 4 His disciples answered, “But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?” 5 “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied. 6 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people, and they did so. 7 They had a few small fish as well; he gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them. 8 The people ate and were satisfied.

What did you understanding I know that each one of you has a different destiny. I have seen some people who have limitations in life. They have already given up by worshipping idols. The idols are helping them become rich, but they need to pay back. In God's hands, nothing is impossible. we need to come foward to him by faith and obey with all your heart and soul

list down bible character have faith 1. Abraham Reference: Genesis 12-25, Hebrews 11:8-12 Known as the "Father of Faith," Abraham trusted God's promise that he would have descendants as numerous as the stars, even when he and his wife Sarah were well beyond childbearing age. His willingness to sacrifice Isaac also demonstrated extraordinary faith. 2. Moses Reference: Exodus 2-14, Hebrews 11:23-29 Moses displayed faith by obeying God’s call to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, despite his own insecurities. He trusted God's guidance through the Red Sea and throughout Israel's journey to the Promised Land. 3. Noah Reference: Genesis 6-9, Hebrews 11:7 Noah demonstrated faith by building the ark as God commanded, even when it seemed irrational. He trusted God's warning about the flood, even though there was no sign of it at the time.

2) 4. David Reference: 1 Samuel 17, Psalm 23, Hebrews 11:32 David’s faith was evident when he faced Goliath with only a sling and stones, trusting in God’s power rather than military might. He also consistently sought God's guidance throughout his life as king. 5. Daniel Reference: Daniel 6 Daniel showed faith by continuing to pray to God, despite the threat of being thrown into the lions' den. His unwavering trust in God led to his miraculous deliverance from the lions.

I know life is not easy , we have to be ready to faces anything happen Someone is trying to say, 'Follow this, and you can settle all of your problems.' Be careful, they are blind guides. If you want to settle everything in life, you need to come before God with faith.

Mark 11:23-24 23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. That means if you have faith in life, you won't be afraid and can remain still. Trust me, God will remove it."

I know that people pray to God, and I know their prayers haven’t been answered by Him. Some of them have given up waiting.

Why prayer unanswered Lack of Faith – James 1:6-7 James tells us that when we pray, we must believe without doubt. If we waver in our faith, it is like being tossed by the wind, unable to stand firm. Doubt weakens our connection to God, limiting our ability to receive His blessings. Scripture: Consider the story of Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:28-31). Initially, Peter had faith and walked towards Jesus, but as soon as he doubted, he began to sink. This shows how faith must be unwavering for us to experience God’s power fully. In our own lives, we must approach prayer with a heart full of faith. If we doubt God’s ability to help us, we may prevent ourselves from receiving the answers we seek.

Unconfessed Sin – Psalm 66:18 Sin creates a barrier between us and God. If we cherish or hold onto sin in our hearts, it blocks our communication with Him. Just as a dirty mirror prevents us from seeing clearly, sin clouds our connection with God. Scripture: King David, after sinning with Bathsheba, felt the weight of his actions and sought God’s forgiveness through repentance (2 Samuel 12:13). Once he confessed, he was restored, teaching us the importance of keeping a clean heart. If we feel like our prayers are going unanswered, we should examine our hearts. Confessing our sins and seeking forgiveness will remove the barrier and allow God to work in our lives.

Not Praying According to God’s Will – 1 John 5:14-15 Explanation: Sometimes, our prayers go unanswered because what we are asking for is not in line with God’s will. God sees the bigger picture, and His plans for us are always better than our own. Scripture: Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, prayed for the cup of suffering to pass from Him, but He ultimately said, "Not My will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42). This shows us that even in our deepest desires, we must align our will with God’s. When we pray, we should always seek God. By trusting that His plans are greater than ours, we can have peace, even when our prayers are not answered in the way we expect.

Personal Stories During my practicum, I found myself completely overwhelmed. I was teaching four classes, marking countless assignments, attending seminars, and barely getting enough sleep. The workload seemed unmanageable, and I reached a breaking point where I couldn’t see a way out. One night, in desperation, I prayed, asking God for relief from the stress. I didn’t know how it would happen, but I trusted that He would provide. The following month, something amazing happened. Three of my colleagues unexpectedly offered to help me with my work. They took on some of my marking, assisted with my classroom duties, and even provided advice on managing my time more effectively. It was as if God had sent them to lighten my load. Through this experience, I learned that God hears our prayers, even when we think there’s no solution. When we trust Him fully, He provides in ways we might not exp ect

Question Let’s take a moment to reflect: In groups of three, discuss specific ways you have seen faith in action in your own life or the life of someone you know. How did practicing faith help in overcoming difficult situations? After your discussion, we’ll share some of your insights with the whole group

How to Growth in faith Through prayer, reading Scripture, and trust in God’s plan Fellowship with others, attending church, and sharing testimonies Trust in God’s promises even when it seems impossible

How to Grow in Faith Through Prayer: Prayer is the cornerstone of our relationship with God. It is not just a time to ask for things, but a time to listen and connect with Him. Daily prayer allows us to draw closer to God, increasing our faith as we see Him working in our lives. Make prayer a daily habit. Set aside quiet time to talk to God about your concerns, thank Him for blessings, and seek His guidance. Over time, you’ll notice your trust in Him deepening.

Reading Scripture: Explanation: The Bible is God’s Word, and reading it allows us to learn more about His character, promises, and faithfulness. Scripture gives us examples of how faith has moved mountains in the past and inspires us to trust God with our future. Example: Hebrews 11 is often referred to as the “Faith Hall of Fame.” It lists countless examples of individuals whose faith allowed them to experience God’s miracles, such as Abraham, Noah, and Moses. Application: Incorporate Bible study into your daily routine. Even reading a few verses a day will help strengthen your understanding of God and His plan for you.

Fellowship and Sharing Testimonies: Faith grows when shared with others. Attending church, Bible study groups, and sharing testimonies about how God has worked in your life encourages both you and others. Fellowship builds a support system, reminding us that we are not alone in our faith journey. Consider how the early church in Acts gathered regularly to pray, share meals, and testify to God’s goodness. Their faith grew as they encouraged one another. Stay connected with fellow believers. Find a church or group where you can share your faith, hear others’ testimonies, and encourage each other in your walk with God.

Remember Faith influencing decisions, relationships, and challenges Relying on God in difficult times Walking in love, trust, and patience as Christ did

1) Conclusion In conclusion, faith serves as the anchor that holds us steady in the midst of life’s uncertainties. It provides us with hope, strength, and confidence, enabling us to trust in God’s plan even when we are unable to see the full picture. Faith is not merely a passive belief; it is an active, daily practice of trust, patience, and obedience. As Christians, we are called to live by faith, not by sight, as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:7: "For we live by faith, not by sight." This means that even when the path ahead seems unclear, our faith empowers us to walk forward with assurance, knowing that God is in control.

Strengthening our faith is an ongoing process that requires daily nurturing through prayer, reading the Word, and trusting God in all circumstances. By doing so, we not only build a deeper connection with God but also cultivate a sense of peace and hope that transcends the challenges we face. Faith, when rooted in God’s promises, becomes the foundation upon which we build our lives. Ultimately, faith lights the way through the darkest of times, reminding us that God is always with us. Let us continue to grow in our faith, trusting in His plan and walking confidently, knowing that with faith, nothing is impossible. Just as a seed grows into a mighty tree, so too will our faith grow stronger as we seek God and trust in His unending love.
