Railroad accidents due to negligence can be blamed on different groups. Some may be the fault of the railway company itself, whereas others are because a conductor or railroad employee was negligent. Some accidents are even caused by the neglect of a government agency.

6. Collision refers to one train crashing or running into another train or rolling stock.   A derailments occurs when a train skids off the track because of some obstruction or abnormality.
