Our Idea/Approach Details: We will develop two android apps, one for the user and other for the Admin, by using android studio platform in Java language. Admin will set/update bus-details, Station details, Trip Details with the help of map API and direction API on the firebase firestore server . We will implement admin authentication and authorization to ensure only authorized admin can set/update details through APIs We will install a device on door of each Bus. This device has NodeMCU ESP32 Development Board( it is microcontroller equipped with Wi-Fi and ability to do programming via Arduino IDE), OV2640 Camera Module 2MP, NEO-6M GPS Module. NodeMCU will perform following action: “ how many people entering and leaving the bus via gate ” by analyzing live feed of camera module via image processing through YOLO v8 (a group of convolutional neural network ). it will remove corruption and overweighting. NodeMCU update Realtime bus data (latitude, longitude, no of passenger ) at regular intervals to Firebase firestore server NodeMCU continuously monitor bus, and update firebase when bus starts from near the starting point in starting time interval. Detect emergency situation and inform admin. Monitor speed of bus to avoid accident . User will fetch bus-data from firebase server and display the Real-time live location, direction and route of a selected bus on Google MAP using Google Map API with necessary details (actual departure & arrival time, estimated departure & arrival time, distance between user & bus ,emission compliance, Fare , available seats) . In poor network condition , we will make vertical progress bar to show live location, direction and route of bus. Our Use Cases : User : User will open the android app then he/she will select the starting and ending destination. The app will show the list of available buses. The user will select in which bus he/she wants to travel. After selecting the bus , a new activity will open showing the following details of the bus: - Current Location of bus . - Departure and arrival time . - Distance between user & bus . - Emission compliance . - Available seats . - Bus-fare of the travel . - Bus Route in Streat View User can set alert or notification for important updates or delays for bus. Admin : Admin will open his/her app and will get verified or authenticated. Admin can register, update and delete the bus details and the driver details on the firebase firestore server . Flow Chart
