ARMM
ARMM (Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao) an autonomous area is defined as an area of a country that has a degree of autonomy, or has a freedom from the external authority.
It consist of five provinces (Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi).
WHO IS THE FIRST GOVERNOR OF ARMM?
Datu Zacaria A. Candao is a Filipino politician who served as the first governor of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)
WHO ESTABLISHED ARMM?
ARMM was created by a virtue of Organic Act for the Autonomous Region of Muslim Minndanao RA (6794), which was signed by our late president Corazon C. Aquino on August 1, 1989.
WHAT IS THE ARMM KNOWN FOR?
ARMM boast for its abundant marine, mineral, agriculture and forest resource which include banana, coconut, magosteen, lanzones, durian, fish, seaweeds, abaca, basalt, chromite, manganes, gold, silver and cooper
NCR
NCR (National Capital Region) also known as Metropolitan Manila, is the capital region of the Philippines. The Provinces of NCR; Caloocan,Malabon,Navotas,Valenzuela, Quezon City,Marikina,Pasig,Taguig,Makati,Manila,Mandaluyong,San Juan, Pasay,Parañaque,Las Piñas,and Muntinlupa.
Metro Manila is the shopping center of the Philippines. Three "MEGAMALLS" are located in this region and these are SM MALL OF ASIA , SM MEGAMALL , and SM CITY NORTH OF EDSA which is the 2nd largest mall in the world.
CALABARZON
The name of the region is the acronym of its five provinces; (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon).
Cavite One of the most industrialized and fastest growing provinces in the Philippines.
What is Cavite province known for? Cavite is known for its rich history and a large number of national heroes including the first president Emilio Aguinaldo (though some historian dispute this claim). the province is one of the eight provinces that led the Philippine Revolution, and is a site of many important events during the rebellion.
Laguna Laguna almost completely surrounds the Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the country. The province got it's name from the Spanish word "logo" which means lake or lagoon.
What are the interesting facts about Laguna? Laguna was founded on July 28, 1571. Its now more than 400 years old. The original name of the province was "La Laguna" but it was changed to "Laguna" during the US occupation of the country. Historically, Laguna is famous for being the home of hero, Jose Rizal.
Batangas
What is Batangas known for? Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. It is home to the well-known Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes, and the small nearby town of Taal which keeps ancestral houses, churches, and other architecture dating back to the 19th century.
RIZAL its capital is the city of Antipolo. The province has a land area of 1,182.65 square kilometers or 456.62 square mile s.
What is the Rizal province known for? Rizal province is a great destination for adventure seekers. Visitors can go hiking,rock climbing, and spelunking in the province scenic mountains and caves. The province is popular for mountain biking, zip-lining, and water sports like kayaking and rafting.
QUEZON Quezon City, chartered city and capital city of the Philippines from 1948 to 1976.
Quezon province also known as Kaliraya/Kalilayan was the first known name of the province upon its creation on 1591. Around the middle of 80th century, it was changed to Tayabas. In recognition the second president of the Philippines Manuel L. Quezon, the name of Tayabas Province is changed to Quezon.
MIMAROPA
MIMAROPA means ( MINDORO ORIENTAL & OCCIDENTAL, MARINDUQUE, ROMBLON, and PALAWAN).
MIMAROPA is an administratrive region of the Philippines. It is one of two regions of the Philippines having no land border with another region, Eastern Visayas being the other.
Region 4-B (MIMAROPA) is awarded as one of the top 5 rice producing regions in the country for 2012.
OCCIDENTAL MINDORO is a province of the Philippines located in the MIMAROPA region in Luzon "Home of the Indigenous Mangyans". its capital is Mamburao and occupies the westen half of the island of Mindoro.
Oriental Mindoro It produces large quantities of rice, corn, coconut, vegetables and fruits like calamansi or banana, rambutan, marang, lanzones or durian. For that, Oriental Mindoro is also known as the Rice Granary and Fruit Basket of Southern Tagalog.
MARINDUQUE the province is a "heart shape" island.
What is the Marinduque province known for? Marinduque is mainly known because of its Moriones Festival, a week-long Lenten event. The term "Moriones" came from the word Morion which means masks. The main event of the festival is the re-enactment of the story of a Roman soldier named Longinus.

ROMBLON due to its geography the province is endowed with lush vegetation and mineral resources.
What is Romblon known for? Romblon is known for its local marble industry and is the second biggest producer in mineral in the country. It also a tourist destination because of its unspoiled beaches and Spanish-era twin forts.
What is Palawan known for? Palawan, one of the best places visit in the Philippines, is consistently ranked as one of the best island in the world, and for a good reason. It boast white sand beaches and islands, clear blue waters, a spectacular variety of marine life and shipwreck sites, and majestic towering limestone cliff.
