A SEMINAR TOPIC ON RENEWABLE ENERGY PRESENTED BY-: NAME-:SANTANU BEHERA REGISTRATION NO-:2101298300 BRANCH-:ECE
CONTEXT INTRODUCTION RENEWABLE ENERGY TYPES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY BENEFITS OF RENEWABLE ENERGY CHALLENGES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY OVERCOMING THE CHALLENGES CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION Renewable energy is generated by sources that can be replenished within a relatively short period of time. Renewable energy system have rapidly become more efficient and cheaper over the past 30 years. A large majority of worldwide newly installed electricity capacity is now renewable.
RENEWABLE ENERGY Renewable energy is energy which is generated from natural sources i.e. sun ,wind , rain ,tides ,and can be generated again and again as and when required. They are available in plenty and by far most the cleanest source of energy available on this planet. For example ,energy that we receive from the sun can be used to generate electricity . Similarly energy from wind , geothermal , biomass from plants, tides can be used this from energy to another form .
TYPES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY Solar energy harnesses the power of the sun. Wind energy converts wind movement into electricity using turbines. Hydropower utilizes the force of moving water to generate electricity.
Geothermal energy convert captures heat from the earth’s to core for electricity or heating. Biomass energy uses organics matter like planets or waste to produce energy .
BENEFITS OF RENEWABLE ENERGY Reduces greenhouse gas emissions and combats climate challenges. Creates jobs in the clean energy sector. Reduces dependence on fossil fuels and unstable energy prices. Promptes energy security and independences. Sustainable and can power our future for generations to come.
CHALLENGES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY Energy storages needs further development for consistent power supply. Initial cost of settings up renewable energy infrastructure can be high. Public perception and social acceptance in some area. Intermittency of some sources like solar and wind.
OVERCOMING THE CHALLENGES Technological advancements are rapidly reducing costs and improving efficiency. Development of battery storages technology for consistent power supply. Raising public awareness about the benefits of clean energy. Government incentives and policies can encourages investment in renewables.
CONCLUSION Renewable energy is essential for a sustainable future . It reduces greenhouse emissions . enhances energy security and stimulates economic growth. Investing in renewable promtes innovation ,improves public health, and aligns with global sustainability goals. Therefore , accelerating renewable energy adoption is crucial for environmental, economic, and social well-being.
