4. 4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.

5. 5 Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all the people shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

11. My family was destroyed when my parents separated when I was seven. When we left our house, we didn’t have anywhere else to go.

12. At night, we slept inside a jeepney…by day, we begged and ate leftover food from restaurants…I became a thief and sold my body to homosexuals.

13. …on November 6, 1979, I, together with the two other men, robbed and killed my sister-in-law’s grandmother.

14. Even after my capture, I was still proud. Not wanting to be subdued by anybody, I beat up the leader of the inmates and in a week’s time, became the “mayor.”

15. I was transferred to Cell 7 which was where the sick inmates were assigned. While I was there, I had a chance to listen to Christian preachers.

16. One time, I was deeply moved when I heard the song “Hindi Kita Malilimutan .” Something inside me seemed to have caved in.

17. I realized that I was at the dead end and had nowhere else to go and no one else to turn to but God.

18. I prayed and asked God to forgive me for all my sins and change me from the inside out.

37. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

39. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1

40. The only way that God’s glory can be revealed is through our lives!
