INTRODUCTION Sampling is a process of selecting representative unit from an entire population of a study . Sampling is a not a new development ,but in receipt time it is used by people in all field , even day to day life ,to get an understanding about sociteties opinion or situation. Similarly in research studies it is not always possible to study an entire population .there fore the researcher draws . Representative part a population through sampling process . In other words sampling is the selection of some part of an aggregate or a whole on the basic of which judgment or interences about the the aggregate or mass is made .

Conti…… It is a process of obtaining information regarding a phenomenon about entire population by examining a part of it

DEFINITION SAMPLE A Sample is subgroup of population . It has been described as a representative “taste “ of a group .the sample should be representative in the sense that each sampled unit will represent the characteristics of known number in the population - RAJESH KUMAR Sample may be defined as representative unit of a target population which is to be worked upon by the researchers during their study -Suresh K. Sharma

DEFINITION OF SAMPLING PROCESS Sampling is the process of selecting a representative segment of the population under study -Suresh K. Sharma Sampling process is concerned with the selection of a subset of individuals from within the population to estimate characteristics of whole population -D Elakkuvana bhaskara Raj

SAMPLING PROCESS – Sampling is a process of selecting part of assinged population to represent the entire population .the procedure of sampling should be systematically organized .the help to eliminate the the data bias that can occur during sample. selection ,which is mostly carried out inconsistently .Sampling process entails the formation of specific crietaria for selection. which ensure what the characteristics of phenamenon of interest will be present in all the unit being studies . The sampling process consist of following stage -
