6. Introduction SAP OData (Open Data Protocol) is a standard protocol used for creating and consuming RESTful APIs in SAP systems. OData allows you to interact with SAP data and services in a standardized way, making it easier to integrate SAP systems with other applications and platforms. SAP RFC, or Remote Function Call , is a communication protocol used in SAP systems to enable the execution of functions or methods on a remote server. It allows for the seamless integration of SAP systems with other SAP or non-SAP systems by facilitating remote procedure calls. SAP BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) is a standardized interface provided by SAP to enable external applications to interact with SAP systems. BAPIs are essentially APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that allow different software applications to communicate with SAP software, making it easier to integrate and exchange data between SAP and other systems.
