A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes are made up of DNA and each chromosome contains many genes . DNA is responsible for building and maintaining your human structure. DNA contains the specific instructions that make each type of living creature unique . Loci – location of a gene in chromosomes. Allele – a specific form of a gene.
DNA
Chromosome is a thread-like structures located inside the nucleus of animal and plant cells . A chromosome is made up of proteins and DNA organized into genes. Each cell normally contains 23 pairs of chromosomes .
Where does the location of genes on chromosomes?
Locus - a locus, as related to genomics, is a physical site or location within a genome (such as a gene or another DNA segment of interest ).
DNA is the folder. Allele are the information inside the folder(DNA) Chromosome is the file cabinet where folders are arranged.
According to Erwin Chargaff, the percentage of adenine is always almost equal to the percentage of thymine . The same thing is true for the percentage of guanine and cytosine . Chargaff Rule States that adenine always pair with thymine (A-T) and cytosine always pair with guanine (C-G).

Non- Mendelian inheritance is any pattern in which traits do not segregate in accordance with Mendel's laws. These laws describe the inheritance of traits linked to single genes on chromosomes in the nucleus .
