SecureConsent: A Blockchain-based Dynamic and Secure Consent Management for Genomic Data Sharing Dr Ibrahim Tariq This work was supported by Genome British Columbia / Genome Canada (project G05CHS)

Introduction Problem Statement: Precision oncology relies on sharing genomic data, but concerns about consent and data control hinder patient p a rticipation. Motivation: Current healthcare data-sharing methods lack patient-centric consent management, impeding patient involvement in precision oncology initiatives. Research Gap: Existing systems do not fully address cancer patients' preferences and requirements, particularly for precision oncology.

Requirements Derived Requirements: The focus group study comprised four sessions involving a total of 22 participants. The study sessions were conducted across four different locations in Canada All participants were adults with a history of or ongoing cancer diagnosis. Key Requirements: Requirement 1: Patient-centric access control Requirement 2: Data access requests Requirement 3: Dynamic consent. Requirement 4: Data transactional transparency Requirement 5: Interactive communication.

Secure Consent Architecture

Setup Blockchain Network: Private Hyperledger Besu network (version 22.4) using IBFT consensus Perfomance evaluation in terms of GAS, transaction throghput and Latency Private Blockchain Performance: Thoughput of 50 TPS with latency below one second. To achieve much higher transaction throughput we suggest using c onsensus protocols like Fast-HotStuff Performance Evaluation
