FORGIVENESS
PAGPAPATAWAD
We need to recognize that people don’t know what they are doing.
That time, He intercedes . ( Namagitan Siya .)
There is a spirit of deception where sin is present.
HE PRAYED.
NEVER A WORD OF BITTERNESS; NO WORD OF REGRET
Isaiah 53:13 “… He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.”
Natupad ang prophecy .
What do we do in times of trouble, disappointment, suffering, sorrow?
REMEMBER The person who hurts you has hurt himself and his relationship to God.
“FATHER, FORGIVE THEM.”
There is forgiveness from God, but only few people know this.
WHY FORGIVENESS?
WHY FATHER?
After the trials and pain, hindi Niya nalimutan kung sino Siya at kung ano ang relasyon Niya sa ating Diyos Ama .
So He said, “FATHER”.
The perfect example on how we should face pain and disappointments.
And that’s what Jesus did. He prayed to the Father in Heaven.
FAITH, CONVICTION, AND SELF-IDENTITY
Crucified; Palayain si Barabas
He knows that He is the Son of God.
Nothing changes in their relationship.
WHY FATHER?
“He paid the debt He did not owe. He owed the debt I could not pay. I needed someone to wash my sins away. And now I sing a brand new song, amazing grace. Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could never pay .”
WE ALL MUST FORGIVE.
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
In Luke 23:43 , Jesus said to the thief who was also crucified , " I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

2. God’s grace, mercy and faithfulness to His promise upon sinners.
Luke 23:43 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise.”
CONCLUSION
God chooses to wipe away our sins, not because we have some convenient excuse, and not because we have tried hard to make up for them, but because He is a God of amazing grace , with mercies that are new every morning. Through His Cross, we have been forgiven , healed and restored . By His crucifixion, we have been set- free!
John 19:26 " When Jesus saw His mother there, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother ,
’Dear woman, here is your son,’ and to the disciple, ’Here is your mother.’ From that time on, this disciple took her into his home."
PAMILYA
Someone has said, " Family is the place where they won’t kick you out. " But the families in America are breaking apart due to divorce, abuse and absent fathers and mothers who chose selfish ambitions over responsible integrity.
The church, the gathering of believers, is God redeeming family . When you’ve been caste out in life, God’s church is "the place where you won’t be kicked out .“
"Dear woman, here is your son ,’ and to the disciple , ’Here is your mother."
Gen 18:18-19 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his
children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and j ust, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what He has promised him .
Matthew 27:46 records Jesus’ loud cry on the cross , " Eloi , Eloi , lama sabachthani ?“ which means,
"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
PAGSUBOK
These words from Jesus tells us that whatever we’re going through, God is aware , and if He chose to, He could have changed the outcome .
PRUNING A function of cutting away to reduce the extent or reach of something by taking away unwanted or superfluous parts.
Therefore, direct your questions to God, but know that you can trust His goodness and righteousness . We see only a day at a time. God sees the whole picture . He will do what is good and right.
JACK WELCH
If a GE business could not be number one or number two in its market, it would be cut. Any business that was struggling (sick)would be “fixed, closed, or sold” Every year, GE would fire the bottom 10% of the work force Welch would get rid of the layers of bureaucracy in the company that slowed down communication, productivity, and ideas.
FIXED CLOSED SELL
John 12:24 24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds .
Psalm 20:6-8 6 Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand .
Psalm 20:6-8 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm .
John 19:28 " Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled , Jesus said, ’I am thirsty.’ "
PAGPAPALAKAS
To confess need, weakness or in j ury opens up our heart for God to heal . Resentment and anger says, "I’ll get even ," or "God doesn’t care." But a hopeful and trusting person confesses his need and weakness to God .
"I am thirsty."
John 19:30 " When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished .“
If you belong to Jesus, you will have the resources and resolve to deal with the trials in your life. Tough times are temporary; God’s people are eternal .
Most people give into circumstances or temptations, not because they lack resources, but because they lack resolve; they gave up too soon. We can finish and finish well .
"It is finished ."

Finally, Luke 23:46 records , " Jesus called out with a loud voice, ’Father, into your hands I commit my spirit . ’When H e had said this, He breathed His last."
PAGBIBIGAY
We have not lost if we know in Whose hands we are held . Whether stripped of our possessions, reputation, physical or mental health,
we need not be anxious, because our lives are not like dry leaves, blown and tossed by the wind. We are lovingly and eternally held in our Father’s hands.
"Father, into your hands I commit My spirit."
These final words of Jesus offer eternal confidence and eternal relationship .
There is the promise of forgiveness , the promise of Heaven , the promise of family , the promise of God’s watchfulness , the promise of resources and resolve , and the promise of God’s sovereign care .
