LMS
Women Safety Wing leverages technology to
impart high quality education about Women
and Child safety across the state of
Telangana through the LMS initiative. It was
a 4 week program where the objective was
to spread awareness about Women Safety to
the remotest parts of Telangana, thereby
addressing the challenge of digital divide to
bridge the gap between urban and rural
children.
As part of its initiative to become a
citizen-friendly and responsive force,
Hyderabad Police launched a mobile
phone application to empower members
of the public, improve their security and
reach out to them at the time of distress.
The app, `Hawk Eye', seeks to turn
common people into Citizen Police and
involve them into checking crimes,
curbing unlawful activities and traffic
violations.

FEATURES OF HAWKEYE APP
In February 2016, SHE Team cops in Cyberabad nabbed a 52-year-old director of a
banking and finance MNC, which has its office at Gachibowli financial district, for
willfully tarnishing the character of a senior woman colleague.
She was first bombarded with 'I love you' emails and when she did not respond
positively, the director started threatening her, saying he would ruin her career if
she did not fall in line and become 'friendly’.
Cornered, the victim reported the incident to the 'ethics committee' of the MNC.
However, the director then began spreading rumours in office and sending emails
and messages to colleagues in an attempt to tarnish the project manager's
reputation. He claimed that the woman had tried to seduce him to get a lucrative on-
site posting abroad and when he refused to fulfill her wish, she had lodged a false
complaint.
Perturbed, the victim lodged a complaint with the SHE teams. Their timely
investigation led to the arrest of the director by Raidurgam police. The accused was
later remanded in judicial custody
1.Case Study
A 45-yearold working professional and her techie daughter would
have ended their lives if SHE Teams had not responded to their
complaint of harassment.
The 23-year old software engineer from Kukatpally sent a text
message to Cyberabad SHE Team on Whatsapp saying that a photo
studio owner, who operates from portion of their two-storied
building, had been harassing her and her mother daily.
“When the daughter went to her mother to complain about the
accused, the latter told her that he was harassing her as well.
When we arrested the culprit, who was sent to judicial remand on
the same day, both the women broke down in tears, saying they
had decided to end their lives if the police did not respond,“ the
ACP said.
