2. Why SimilarWeb ? SimilarWeb helps you get the full picture of the traffic going to your competitor sites and the sources of this traffic. Understand competitor websites’ strengths and weaknesses to inform your marketing strategy. Compare your traffic activity against competing websites to benchmark performance and success. Use web rankings and traffic trends to stay on top of changes in your industry.

3. Welcome! To get started simply enter the name of the site you’d like to explore and press ‘analyze ’: We’ll use Nba.com as an example

4. After entering the name of the site and clicking on ‘analyze’ a six-part report will appear. The first part gives you an overview for the site’s traffic.

5. This section shows the rankings for the website among all other sites on the web, in its biggest country and within the category where the website analyzed belongs. Sources of traffic to the website classified into six categories. The Sidebar allows you to navigate between the different parts of the report, click on the icons or scroll down to see the other sections The content in the Overview is split on 3 rows Traffic reach over the past 6 months & user engagement .

6. To compare traffic activity with competing sites click on ‘add competitor’ and add another website URL. Press here

9. The third part of the report analyzes the leading sites referring traffic to nba.com and also which websites are receiving traffic from within nba.com

10. The fourth section let’s you understand the most important paid and organic keywords for nba.com and you can also see which search engines are bringing most traffic

11. The fifth section analyzes the share of traffic coming from social networks.

12. Click on a category to get a list of the Top 100 sites in the chosen category. The sixth part will help give you a broader understanding of the website’s audience. Which other websites are popular among visitors of nba.com? What other categories and topic are they also interested in?

13. The last part uses SimilarSites technology to show you other websites that are relevant to the one you’re researching. This is a great tool to discover sites with similar content competing for the same traffic. It’s also a resource to find new leads.
