Sixth Sense Technology is a mini-projector coupled with a camera and a
cellphone—which acts as the computer and connected to the Cloud, all the
information stored on the web. Sixth Sense can also obey hand gestures. The
camera recognizes objects around a person instantly, with the micro-projector
overlaying the information on any surface, including the object itself or hand.
Also can access or manipulate the information using fingers. make a call by
Extend hand on front of the projector and numbers will appear for to click.
know the time by Draw a circle on wrist and a watch will appear. take a photo
by Just make a square with fingers, highlighting what want to frame, and the
system will make the photo—which can later organize with the others using
own hands over the air.and The device has a huge number of applications , it is
portable and easily to carry as can wear it in neck.
The drawing application lets user draw on any surface by observing the
movement of index finger. Mapping can also be done anywhere with the
features of zooming in or zooming out. The camera also helps user to take
pictures of the scene is viewing and later can arrange them on any surface.
Some of the more practical uses are reading a newspaper. reading a newspaper
and viewing videos instead of the photos in the paper. Or live sports updates
while reading the newspaper.
The device can also tell arrival, departure or delay time of air plane on
tickets. For book lovers it is nothing less than a blessing. Open any book and
find the Amazon ratings of the book. To add to it, pick any page and the device
gives additional information on the text, comments and lot more add on feature

SEMINAR SIXTH SENSE TECHNOLOGY
PRESENTED BY :- AVIJEET NEGEL 3 RD YEAR Roll -17000313003 IMPS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
CONTENTS Introduction History Why choose Components Working Applications Advantages Disadvantages Conclusion
We humans, interact with the world using our five senses. But as the name suggests this technology brings forward an additional sixth sense. A sixth sense is an Extra Sensory Perception that aims at a more developed future with both the physical and digital world connected . I N T R O D U C T I O N
Steve Mann is father of sixth sense who made a wearable computer in 1990. The Sixth Sense Technology was first implemented as the neck worn projector + camera system. He was a media lab student at that time. Thereafter it was used and implemented by an Indian who is the man has become very famous in the recent Pranav Mistry H I S T O R Y
Pranav Mistry , a PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab. He caused a storm with the creation of Sixth Sense. H I S T O R Y
WHY CHOOSE SIXTH SENSE TECHNOLOGY ??????
This sixth sense technology provides us with the freedom of interacting with the digital world using hand gestures. This technology has a wide application in the field of artificial intelligence. Sixth sense frees information from its confines by integrating it with reality, making the entire world your computer. Ability to scan objects or even people & projects out information . WHY CHOOSE SIXTH SENSE TECHNOLOGY ??????
WHAT IS SIXTH SENSE TECHNOLOGY?????
Reception of information not gained through five senses. Aims to seamless integrate online information and technology into everyday life. It is a wearable “Gesture Based” device that augments the physical world with digital information.
The hardware components are coupled in a pendant like mobile wearable device . CAMERA PROJECTOR MIRROR COLOUR MARKER COMPONENTS
CAMERA If there is any object in view, then the object is recognized by the webcam and using computer-vision based techniques the user’s gestures are tracked and it sends the data to the Smartphone.
The projector projects the visual information on any surface, including the object itself or your hand. The project itself contains a battery inside, with 3 hours of battery life. PROJECTOR
The downward-facing projector projects the output image on to the mirror And the mirror reflects this image on to the desired surface. MIRROR
MOBILE COMPONENT The mobile devices like the Smartphone are used to handle connection to the internet. Using mobile internet data and voice can be communicated across the world either by transmitting or by receiving it.
Marking the user's fingers with red, yellow ,green and blue tape helps the webcam recognize gestures. The movement and arrangements of these markers are interpreted into gestures. COLOUR MARKER
WORKING
The camera recognizes indivudals , images, pictures, guestures one makes with their hands Information is sent to the smartphone for processing via wifi or 3G Connectivity. The downward-facing projector projects the output image on the mirror Mirror reflects image on the desired surface Thus, digital information is freed from its confines and placed in the physical world.
It is a technology which is aimed at interpreting human gestures with the help of mathematical algorithms. Gesture recognition technique basically focuses on the emotion recognition from the face and hand gesture recognition. Gesture Recognition
As mentioned earlier, this product currently costs only $350. From an educator’s stand point, this is minimum given the amount of money spent on textbooks, computer labs and LCD projectors. For educator’s, Sixth Sense would be a way to put technology (literally) into each student’s hands, because of its size and its cost. Cost-Effectiveness
Portable: One of the main advantages of the sixth sense devices is its small size and portability. Support multi touch and multi user interaction: Multi touch and multi user interaction is another added feature of the sixth sense devices. Cost effective : The cost incurred for the construction of the sixth sense proto type is quiet low. ADVANTAGES
Connectedness between real world and digital world: Forming a connection between the real world and the digital world was the main aim of the sixth sense technology. Data access directly from the machines in real time: With help of a sixth sense device the user can easily access data from any machine at real time speed.
We have to give correct instruction. The projectors runs on batteries for power where regularly have to place. Disadvantages

The key here is that Sixth Sense recognizes the objects around you, displaying information automatically and letting you access it in any way you want, in the simplest way possible. Clearly, this has the potential of becoming the ultimate “ transparent ” user interface for accessing information about everything around us. CONCLUSION
