To prepare and dispense sodium bicarbonate ear drops.

1. S odium bicarbonate ear drops To prepare and dispense 10mL sodium bicarbonate ear drops.

2. Requirement: Sodium bicarbonate weighing balance conc . Glycerin freshly boiled and cooled water glass bottles measuring cylinder Stirrer beaker and label.  

3. Sodium Bicarbonate Ear Drops Sodium bicarbonate, 5 g Glycerol, 30 cm 3 Purified water, freshly boiled and cooled, sufficient to produce 100 cm 3

4. Procedure: Dissolve weighed amount of sodium bicarbonate in sufficient quantity of freshly boiled and cooled water and stir with a glass rod until the solid dissolves. Add conc. glycerin with continuous shaking. Makeup the volume up to the mark with freshly boiled and cooled water. Store the solution in a labelled bottle.
