I went into this childcare center knowing that it would do rather well. Garnero Child
Development Center is very well run and Ann, the side supervisor, makes sure that
everything meets standards. I have seen her in the early mornings observing

filling the ECERS out, they knew exactly what it was and both mentioned that they

Beethoven once said, Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.
If someone told me two years ago that a musical about a dead founding father would
change my life, I would have called them crazy. However, two years after the
premiere of Hamilton I am proud to say that a musical about Alexander Hamiltondid
indeed change my life.
Hamilton: An American Musical is my favorite Broadway show of all time. I have
listened to the album over 100 times, and have put on multiple one woman shows;
attempting to recreate the forty six song production. Above all, my favorite character
is Eliza Hamilton.
Eliza goes through an enormous transformation throughout the show; from a shadow
of a girl to a strong willed woman.

want to be humiliated. It wasn t until high school that I started to break out of my
shell. I was transitioning from a class of forty four to a high school with 450 kids in
my grade alone. I wanted to be like Act I Eliza : just a member of the ensemble in the
production of life. However, I knew I couldn t live that way. I was becoming a
doormat; people would walk all over me since I never stood up for myself. I had to
make a change, and not live my life in fear.
So just like Eliza, I made a change. I started voicing my opinions, whether they
agreed with the majority or not. I participated in lively debates with people, tried
out for sports I had never played before and joined clubs about things I was
passionate about. I am now on a board for underprivileged Catholic schools across
Chicago, the secretary of the NHS, and a starter for the lacrosse and basketball team.
Most importantly, I have stopped doing things to please others and started doing
things to please and better myself.
Eliza Hamilton is my inspiration because she found the strength within herself to
reassert her agency. She did not need to rely on her husband to secure her legacy
because she took the reigns and chose what she wanted to do with her life.

METHODS

world (Glaze, 2011). The prisons in the United States are described as human
warehouses rather than rehabilitative centers (Contardo Erisman, 2005). A method to
