VOCATIONAL AIM In the present day context of modern era and the achievements in science & technology it is true that education is worth in terms of its utility.

The utilitarian aim of education is to make an individual self dependent. The society necessitates the child to understand the “bread & butter “ aim of education.

AIMS OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION Enable self dependency. Ensure hope for learners with low intelligence.

Bridge the economic gap in the society. Make education a purposeful activity.

IMPORTANCE OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION The following are the importance of vocational education : 1. Economy. 2. Satisfaction.

3. Promote self confidence. 4. enable usefulness for all. 5. Improve practical skills.

CULTURAL AIM Culture is cultivation of knowledge, beliefs, are, morals, laws, customs, capabilities and habits.

Culture is preserved through literature and it can only be done with education. Worthwhile experiences of the race are assimilated in such a way that they over a period of time become a culture.

The following are the cultural aims of education : 1. To preserve culture. 2. To transmit & promote culture.

To make unity in diversity. To socialize individuals.

MORAL AIM Morality of an individual includes physical fitness, resolution and will power. Morality is a virtue which needs a medium for getting exercised.

Virtues like honesty, loyalty, tolerance, fellow-feeling, truthfulness , justice, sincerity, self control, freedom and temperance are build up and inculcated by means of education.

The following are the moral aims of education. 1. To develop individuality. 2. To build up strong character/morality. 3. To inculcate values.

SPIRITUAL AIM “Spirituality refers to the thing that has its existence some what or totally related to the essence of “spirit”.

The spiritual dimension relates to an individual’s innate values or ethics. Education provides an opportunity of perfection and strength in spirituality .

The spiritual aim of education are as follows: 1. To draw out the best or perfect from the soul. 2. To strengthen the concept of spirituality.

3. To build up faith in one code, based on absolute values.
