DEFINITION OF TERMS

AUDIO EDITING Audio editing is the process of altering recorded sound
to create the desired effect.

Audio editing software is a type of computer program
that allows user to access, edit, save, and manipulate
audio files.

RECORDING
Audio recording is the process by which sound
information is captured onto a storage medium like
magnetic tape, optical disc, or solid-state drive (SSD).
BLOG A blog, short for weblog, is a frequently updated web
page used for personal commentary or business
content. Blogs are often interactive and include
sections at the bottom of individual blog posts where
readers can leave comments.

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing
services—including servers, storage, databases,
networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over
the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation,

VALIDATIONS
A feature that allows you to control the type of data

HTML is the standard markup language for creating
Web pages. HTML describes the structure of a Web

MACROS Is an action or a set of actions that can be recorded,

manipulation and data reporting that must be
accomplished repeatedly.
E-SERVICE Electronic business (E-business) refers to the conduct
of business activities using the internet and other
electronic means. Its purpose is to facilitate and
streamline business processes.

PHOTO EDITING The act of image enhancement and manipulation. This
process is usually done with a digital photo editing
software.
STREAMING Refers to the continual transmission of audio and video
files from a server to a client




POLLS A poll is a way of knowing people’s choices and
understanding what works for them. Polls can help you
to measure the success of any event or initiative and
are carried out at various stages.
SURVEYS A survey gathers information from a set of people, with
the purpose of generalizing the results to a larger
population. Surveys provide a significant source of data
and insights for almost everyone in the information
business, from government and private organizations
to media and academic institutions.
TITLER A versatile tool enabling you to create not just titles
and credits, but animated graphics and text as well.
VIDEO EDITING The art of manipulating and combining video files to
create a completed video project. Video Editors will cut
together film clips, alter and correct sound mixing, add
digital effects, and make other essential technical
changes to video files.

SOFTWARE
Any software program capable of editing, modifying,
generating, or manipulating a video or movie file. With
a video editor, you can remove sections of the video,
cut and arrange a video to give it a better flow, or add
effects to enhance the video.

DEVELOPMENT
Also known as website development, refers to the tasks
associated with creating, building, and maintaining
websites and web applications that run online on a
browser.
