National Tournament divided into local hubs. Our Hub is Music City Best @ Lipscomb University. Top 2 or 3 teams go to Regionals. Souths best regionals at University of North Alabama

Two Main Divisions
CAD First step in creating the robot Initial illustrations of the robot Learn Fusion360 & Maya Digitally design all parts 3D Printing Create animations of the robot
Build Team Gain many manufacturing skills Learn to work with power tools Build practice game field Use the CAD designs to manufacture the robot Use VCarve & Lightburn to manufacture parts with CNC & Laser Paint robot
Programming Team Design electrical system Learn Python/C++ Program robot controls Creates the scoring calculator Creates interactive booth game
Community Outreach Sponsorships & fundraising Organize outreach events Team spirit for competition day Manage social media Videography/Photography
Graphic Design Learn Adobe Illustrator Design the season’s visual brand Design Booth posters T-shirt design Design & publish a professional website Video game art for Booth
Booth Design and build a promotional Booth Includes information about our robot, company, and outreach events Booth is built and shown on game day at Lipscomb to be judged and seen by visitors
Operation Team Separate try outs Operators compete with the robot at the competition Create a competition strategy 5 Drivers Spotters chosen to direct drivers
Presentation Separate Tryouts Create a marketing presentation to sell the Robot to “investors” Talk to judges on game day in the booth 5-7 presenters
Meeting Times Most Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. (3:30 - 6pm) Some Friday evenings or Saturday mornings as needed Built in redundancy
Costs Team fees are $75 and… Participation in our 20/20 fundraiser Covers cost of T-shirts, equipment, materials, team supplies, etc.

Applying to SC Robotics All applicants (returning and new) must complete the application. New members must submit a resume. Space is limited. Applications due by 9pm, Friday (8.30)
