What is Stone Crete Plaster / Grit Wash Plaster?
Stone Crete Plaster is composed of a mix of elements: cement, coarse aggregate (usually crushed stone), fine marble powder and water. You can change the look of the finished plaster by making changes in the elements using white cement instead of Gray cement, for example, or using crushed colour glass in place of crushed stone. These choices can change the look of exposed aggregate concrete dramatically.

6. What is Stone Crete Plaster ?
Stone Crete Plaster is composed of a mix of
elements: cement, coarse aggregate
(usually crushed stone), fine marble powder
and water.

12 TO 15 MM THICK
IT LOOKS
GRANULAR EFFECT
DECORATIVE TEXTURE.

8. SURFACE PREPARATION

For proper bonding of stone crete plaster,
the plaster should be rough.
Marked by combing the surface with wavy lines using a
wire brush or nail comb.

9. It is mandatory to give
expansion joint groove,
after every 2.0 meters.

Maximum panel size should
be of quantity of 44 Sq. Ft.
(2 meters X 2 Meters)

14. If RCC ( Concrete) structure is there,
We recommend Hacking on that,
for Stone Crete Plaster

15. What is Hacking (of Concrete) in Construction?
Hacking refers striking of surfaces such as RCC
walls, columns, beams, slabs etc., with a chisel to
dent the surface inroder to create a proper
mechanical bond with cement mortar/gpysum
plaster directly applied on it.

16. It is advisable to have 300 to 350 dents on an average per square meter.
Also, It is recommended to have mechanical bonding (by hacking) always for
plaster surfaces although you use chemical bonding materials. Although bonding
chemical helps in bonding between surfaces, mechanical keys will always enhance
the plaster bonding with substrate.
Hacking should be done atleast after 3 days from date of casting the concrete.
Proper curing should be ensured before hacking is done to avoid any hairline
cracks.

Recommendation on Right amount of Hacking:

17. Why is Hacking Important?
Since concrete finished surface is smooth,
plastering materials would not bond with such
surfaces. Dents created by hacking concrete
surfaces will help in mechanical bonding of plasters
(cement motar & gypusm plaster)

( Concrete) make a shutter
itself with grid
Then no need of hacking

19. Special decorative aggregates frequently used
for exposed Stone Crete Plaster and include a
variety of decorative stones in many different
colours.
While Stone Crete Plaster finishers usually hide
the aggregate with a smooth layer of cement
paste, you can create aesthetically appealing
looks by exposing the aggregate.
