Meaning Of Capital Market:
Capital market is a place where buyers and sellers indulge in
trade (buying/selling) of financial securities like bonds, stocks,
etc. The trading is undertaken by participants such as individuals
and institutions.
In other words- The market where investment
instruments like bonds, equities and mortgages are traded is
known as the capital market.

Types Of Capital Market:


Primary Market : Primary market is the market for new shares
or securities. A primary market is one in which a company
issues new securities in exchange for cash from an investor
(buyer).It deals with trade of new issues of stocks and other
securities sold to the investors.
Secondary Market: Secondary market deals with the
exchange of prevailing or previously-issued securities among
investors.

Scope of study :
It solely deals in trading of long-term securities.
It works strictly according to the guidelines and policies issued by the
government.
Major intermediaries involved in the capital market includes banks,
brokers, transfer agents etc .
It directs the savings of the households to their most productive use.
In this way, it adds to the growth prospects of an economy.

Objectives:
To study investor perception and investment behavior of capital
market investors.
To identify the problems faced by the investors while on market
through Brokers.
To study the investors satisfaction level for the various services
provided by the broker relationship.
To get the brief knowledge of trading system in securities.

Hypothesis : The efficient market hypothesis states that when
new information comes into the market, it is immediately
reflected in stock prices and thus neither technical nor
fundamental analysis can generate excess returns.

Research design: The research design is the basic framework,
which provides guidelines for the rest of the research process. The
research design determine the direction of the study throughout
and the procedure to be followed. It determines the data
collection method, sampling method, field work and so on.

Types of research:
Primary data: Primary data is basically fresh data collected
directly from the target respondents; it could be collected
through Questionnaire Surveys, Interviews, Focus Group
Discussions etc
Secondary data: Secondary data that is already available and
published. It could be internal and external source of data.

Data Collection:
1.Primary data: Primary data was selected from the sample by a self-
administrated questionnaire in presence of the interviewer.

Sample area: Nagpur
Sample unit: Arihant Capital Markets limited, Nagpur
2. Secondary data: Secondary data was collected through articles , reports,
journals, magazines, newspaper and Internet.

regarding their company ‘Interns Planet’ and their staff member.
They told us about their objectives and goals.

week: In second week of internship the company gave us
information regarding capital market and their tools and
techniques.

week: In third week of internship we have collected data from
different capital market companies about capital market. How
market runs? What are there goals? Their vision and mission etc.

week: In Fourth week of internship the company told us to
makeup a internship report on topic ‘A study on perception and

The no. Of respondents include for the study is Limited due to the time
constraints.
All the findings and observations made in this study are purely based on
respondents answer, the response may be due to personal factor.
Since the sample is very small when compared to the universe the findings
and suggestions made are not applicable to the universe.
Some of the respondents were reluctant to share information with the
researcher.
