Hair Fiber Reinforced Concrete. In our project we used M20 grade of concrete with 0 , 1, 2, percenatage of human hair . There is alot of difference in while using different grade of comcrete and different percentage of human hair in concrete .

INTRODUCTION
Hairisusedasafiberbecauseithasahighelasticitywhichisequivalenttothatofacopperwirewith
comparablewidth.
Hair,anon-degradablematterismakinganecologicalissuesoitsutilizationasafiberfortifying
materialcanminimizetheissue.Itisadditionallyaccessibleinwealthandwithease.
Itfortifiesthemortarandkeepsitfromspillingforthisprojectwehaveusedhairasafiberoflength
between20mmto30mm.

Inmouldingthefirststepistoapplicationofoiltothesurfacesofmold.

Whilefillingitistamperedinthreelayerswithtampingrod.
Blocksareallowedtorestforthesettingpurpose.

CURING
Afterthesettingofblockthemoldisopenedandtheblockareallowedforcuring
Curingistheprocessinwhichtheblocksareenteredinwaterforaparticulartime.
Inthisexperimentblockareallowedforcuringfor7days,14days,and28days.
Aftercuring,blockisdriedandallowedfortestinglab.

WORKABILITY
•The workability of concrete is carried out by slump cone test. The results are briefly tabulated and are

CONCLUSION
Onthebasisofexperimentalresultinlaboratoryitisconcludedthatat1%ofhairbyweightofcement
whenaddedinconcretethenthereisanpercentageincrementof23.3%incubicalcompressivestrength
at1:1.5:3ratiowith0.5W/cratio.
At2%ofhairbyweightofcementthereisdecrementof4%incubicalcompressivestrengthat1:1.5:3
mixratiowith0.5W/Cratioascomparedto1%ofhairinconcrete.
Asat1%and2%hairadditionsbyweightofcementinM20gradeconcretethecompressivestrengthis
morethanthatofplaincementconcretei.e.(0%)hairfiber.
Workabilityparametersintermsofslumpvalueisrecordedhighesti.e8cmwithnohairsandwith1%
ofhair,theslumpvaluedecreasesto1cm.

CONCLUSION
Thisdecreaseinworkabilityisduetolesswateravailableashairrequireswatertocoatitssurface
whichultimatelylowersdownduetolackoffreeavailablewaterwhichcanimpartworkability.
Itcanbeconcludedthathairfibergiveidealchoiceoffibersinconcreteifitisusedincorrect
proportionandmanner.
Humanhairfiberhasotheradvantageslikeitiscompletelybiodegradablerenewableandeasily
availableatnegligiblecost.
