INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this test measure cooling tower performance and
airflow of cooling fan for commissioning after cooling tower
has been improved
A. TEST EQUIPMENT
-Circulating flow : Ultrasonic flow meter, Deltawave C-P
- Wind speed : Anemometer, BK Precision 731A
- Ambient condition : Temperature humidity meter, Fluke 971
- CWS / CWR Temperature : Thermometer, Fluke 51 II
- Fan power consumption : Power quality meter, Fluke 1735
- Airflow : Micro manometer, Fluke 992
B. STANDART AND REFERENCE TEST

3) Air flow test
The temperature data measured was used with the barometric
pressure of 29.57 in. Hg to be used for calculation the air density at
traverse point. And then, air velocity is calculated from the velocity
pressure using the following relationship.

D. Test Condition
The tower capability of mechanical draft tower is calculated from
the major test parameters of circulating water flow rate, cooling range,
cold water temperature, inlet air wet bulb temperature, and fan motor
power. The wind speed value is not used to calculate tower capability,
but is used as quality indicator of ambient condition stability. The

E.TOWER CAPABILITY CALCULATION
From the original cooling performance curve at 90%, 100% and
110% flow we use performance curve method to find out with CTI
toolkit 3.0
