Assembling the Bariquin in a Supine Position

Start with the laying out the Top, then the Bottoms. The Bottoms should overlap the Top by about 15cms.

Then lay the Jacket on the Top, webbing side down. The top of the shoulder flaps should be in line with the shoulder seam of the Top.

Then place the Buttocks below the Jacket, remembering to attach the 2 lower straps (marked grey) on the Jacket to the Buttocks.

Start building up the torso by adding the Abdomen sections. Build the torso vertical if room allows.

Continue building up the torso by adding the Shoulder sections, attaching them to each other and the Abdomen sections.

If the torso has been built upright, first pull the Jacket so that the Jacket to Buttock straps are straight, then carefully lower the torso down.

Now add the Thighs, attaching the red, orange and yellow connectors to their equivalent ones on the Buttocks.

Next fasten and tighten the horizontal Jacket straps.

This allows the fastening of the dark blue (Jacket to Buttock) connectors and the bright blue and green (Buttock to Thigh) connectors.

Add the Lower Legs and Feet/Sandals. These can be left together when dismantling the Bariquin (combined weight about 5kgs.)

Fasten Arm and Shoulder connectors, remembering to push the Upper Arm to Jacket connection up into the armpit.

Now attach the Stomach section and Head. Fasten the over the shoulder Jacket connectors after connecting the Head

Fasten the Bottoms by connecting the belt buckle and Velcro the seams, beginning at the ankles, moving upwards.

Fasten the Top by Velcro- ing the seams, beginning at the wrists, into the armpit then down to the lower hem. You’ve finished!
