3. ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP refers to diverse actions that aim to conserve, protect, and create a more sustainable environment. It is all about being responsible and caring for the natural environment in the best way possible. Environmental stewardship actions are driven by stewards. means acting as a steward, or caretaker, of the environment. Stewards can be government bodies, community groups, corporations, or individuals. defined as the responsibility for environmental quality shared by all those whose actions affect the environment. ( EPA 2005)

4. TYPES OF ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP provide stewardship movements with funds These are people who volunteer during the implementation of stewardship actions somewhat similar to doers. The only difference is that they take part in the day-to-day activities of stewardship movements

Role of Business in Environmental Protection Companies involved in the production of various utilities or products can go for eco-friendly, low waste and clean technology for equipment used in such industries. Industrial wastes should be recycled every time so that it minimises the chances of pollution. The machinery should be upgraded so that it complies with the pollution norms, which will be beneficial in reducing the levels of pollution. Conduct quarterly/yearly audits for checking the effectiveness of the pollution control programs and making changes so as to bring about more success in pollution control programmes. The companies and industries should comply with the rules laid down by the government with respect to prevention of environmental pollution. The businesses should take steps to save the environment by setting up campaigns of planting trees, cleaning of rivers.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION- to combat climate change, protect biodiversity, and promote sustainable development.
