Scoliodon: Blood Vascular System

Thebloodvascularsystemconsists:
1.Heart
2.Arterialsystem
3.Venoussystem.

Theheartislocatedbelowthepharynx.
Itisreddishbrown,conical,muscularorgan.
Itisenclosedinadoublelayered,

Thepericardialcavityisfilledwith

•Thebloodisreceivedfromvariouspartsofthe

•Contraction(systole)startsfromthesinus
venosusforcingthebloodintotheatrium
(auricle)throughsinu-auricularaperture.
•Bythecontractionofauricle,thebloodreaches

•Inthemeantimethesinusvenosusisrelaxed

•Theventriclecontractsandforcesthebloodinto

•Herebackflowofbloodispreventedbytworows

•Fromconusarteriosus,thebloodentersthe

•Afteroxygenationthebloodisnotsentback

•Thedeoxygenatedbloodagainreturnedto

Thus,theheartiscalledvenousheartor
