Team Mechanical Aspirants Smart IoT Based Refrigerated Vaccine Storage System with Thermal Energy Storage System Students of Sharad Institute of Technology, College of Engineering, Yadrav . Innovative Idea Accelerator Program (IIAP) GOSHIMA & TATA Technologies Guide- Prof. A. S. N. Hussainy .
Problem Statement -
Loss of potency of vaccines should be prevented during power failure in vaccine storage system. By using Phase Change Material (PCM) as latent heat thermal energy storage (TES) system it will maintain the temperature of 2 °C to 8 °C in the vaccine storage system during power failure. The main objective is to improve the performance, cooling time period i.e. to maintain the constant refrigeration effect for 8 to 10 hours during power cut off by using PCM. Also IoT is proposed in this system for monitoring of parameters such as temperature, humidity and GPS location of the cold box on the smart phone during power failure and transportation.
