NHS App messaging Our SMS software provider have enabled integration with the NHS App Messages from the Practice will be sent directly into the NHS App rather than as an SMS If a patient doesn’t have the NHS App or doesn’t read the message within a certain timeframe, they’ll receive an SMS message
Vaccinations COVID seasonal boosters The spring seasonal booster campaign is currently open to eligible patients Who is eligible for a spring COVID-19 vaccine You or your child may be offered a spring COVID-19 vaccine if you: are 75 years or over (you need to be 75 years old by 30 June 2024) are 6 months to 74 years old and have a weakened immune system live in a care home for older adults How to get a spring COVID-19 vaccine If you’re eligible, you can get a spring COVID-19 vaccine by: booking online going to a walk in COVID-19 vaccination site booking on the NHS App talking to a local NHS service, such as a GP surgery talking to your care home
Vaccinations Shingles The shingles vaccine helps protect against shingles Who is eligible for a shingles vaccine It's recommended for: all adults turning 65 (on or after 1 st September 2023) those aged 70 to 79 those aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system How to get the shingles vaccine Your GP surgery will usually contact you when you become eligible for the shingles vaccine Please contact us if: you think you're eligible for the shingles vaccine, but you've not been contacted you did not have the vaccine when you were contacted and you're still under 80 (only people with a severely weakened immune system can get the vaccine after 80 years of age) you've had the shingles vaccine before but you now have a severely weakened immune system – depending on the type of shingles vaccine you had, you may need another one
