The Future of Tech: Powered by AI By Thomas Harris
The Headline AI is the future of digital AI; a revolutionary new tool that has been slowly making its way into the market. Machine learning with almost limitless potential, able to withstand the tedium and stress that comes with process massive amounts of raw information. The only question it can’t answer is “Where do we use it?” With the potential to add it to any task it can be quite rough finding the answer. However with Night 3D prints we intend to leverage it for the good of our users.
The problem Social media, something that is practically ingrained in our daily lives now. A tool that can be as harmless or as damaging as the user, or the entity running the platform. Now with so much content out there for users to consume, how can we determine what their interests are? Sure there’s the direct approach, the initial “Hi tell us what you like” survey, but most platforms don’t grow beyond that, they merely take the seed of a user’s initial interests and let it die where it sits. We however have a different take
Step 1: Get the user’s input! Most people will stop there when gauging the user, the first step is always simple, it’s the follow through that becomes the challenge once you start! This is that crucial first step, once a user makes the account on the platform of their choosing, we present them with that all important (and dreaded) interest survey. Which for sake of argument let’s choose the popular forum website reddit. You’re given a list of subreddits and interests you share before you’re pointed towards the website’s content.
Step 2: Now we wait The user will be assigned a unique ID upon account creation, and the initial survey data will be processed by the AI to establish their baseline, afterwards the further interactions between the user and the platform will be monitored, view-time, visited user profiles, etc. Monitoring for patterns in the user’s viewing. Soon enough the AI will establish how often and when the user is looking for new content, or perhaps just checking in with their favorites. Tailoring the content to their specific tastes.
Step 3: Analysis A small continuation of the prior step, the user will rate their interactions with the site over time, through a periodic simple survey “Yes or No” and based on their responses the AI will slowly scale its influence on their feed to either give them more or less pertinent information on their interests and viewership. Which itself over time will also develop into a corollary pattern for the AI to predict over time .
Step 4: The Finish line Lastly with the initial implementation we will be polling willing users and the AI itself to take feedback on “weak spots” that users experience overall. Not to mention streamlining the data that is sent and needed for a proper response. Lastly within this stage we can combine our data sets somewhat, comparing users with similar baselines to see if we can extrapolate the demographics that make up our audience.
In conclusion Social Media: X @Night3DPrints The user experience should be tantamount. In the world of 3D printing there is not one category that can truly define it. Pulling objects into reality is the core of what we do, but who determines the needs of the user? Their interests? The fact remains that there is an absolute ocean of information and helping new users navigate it responsibly is just as important as providing them with it in quantity. From those of us at Night 3D Prints we thank you for your time and hope you’ll benefit from our labors!
