The library management system

Library management is a sub-discipline of institutional management that focuses on specific issues faced by libraries and library management professionals. Library management encompasses normal managerial tasks, as well as intellectual freedom and fundraising responsibilities. Issues faced in library management frequently overlap with those faced in managing non-profit organizations.[1]

The basic functions of library management include, but are not limited to: planning and negotiating the acquisition of materials, Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests, stacks maintenance, overseeing fee collection, event planning, fundraising, and human resources.[2]

1. Introduction A library management system, also known as an automated library system is software that has been developed to handle basic housekeeping functions of a library . It`s a well organized software solution for a library . Overall this project of ours is being developed to help the students as well as staff of library to maintain the library in the best way possible and also reduce the human efforts.

Log in -user id is provided when they register -The system must only allow user with valid id and password to enter the system - The system performs authorization process which decides what user level can access to. -The user must be able to logout after they finished using system.
