What is the Mac OSX Operating System OS X , formerly known as Mac OS X is the operating system developed by Apple for Macintosh computers , created in 2001 to combine the known characteristics User Interface of the native Mac OS with the architecture of a UNIX-like operating system, of the BSD family. Despite the name used until the 10.7.5 version , Mac OS X has a different version than Mac OS with the first Apple computer was completely rewritten and is in fact a different operating system, UNIX Certified IEEE  100% compatible with the POSIX standard . Mac OS X includes all the common utilities and UNIX command shell , a complete Java machine implemented natively , as well as the main scripting languages such as Perl , PHP, tcl , Ruby and Python , and is certified by The Open Group as compliant UNIX 03, since its release 10.5 onwards .

Mac OSX components - Darwin , a free and complete operating system developed by Apple Computer, the Open Source BSD family, derived from Unix, with XNU kernel based on the Mach microkernel , inspired and hybridized to the kernel of the FreeBSD operating system with a vast NetBSD code portions ; - A number of I/O kit, Frameworks , a set of optimized libraries that facilitate porting UNIX code and some set of APIs ( coal and cocoa ), developed by NeXTStep and Apple Computer; - A graphical user interface (GUI), called Aqua , developed by Apple Computer.

4. The Creators In the 70’s, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak designed the first prototype of Personal Computer for the future Apple, called Apple I. In 1984 Jobs markets the Mac OS system, but it was a failure cause of his too care prize . But in 2001 it was designed the first effective Operating System from Apple: the Mac OS X. This new Computer system was a great success.

Its Users People use the mac for various reasons : - Who is fond of the Apple: For example people who buy a Mac are fond of the Apple’s products.Because they already had a Mac , or have an iPhone or an iPad . - Mac is easy to use : People buy a Mac also for its simplicity .  A Mac won ’t block never , it won ’t give errors from the dark nature , it won ’t have virus problems , it doesn ’t require drivers updates , it will be optimized and fast without requiring major maintenance . - Need to use programs that exist only for Apple Mac : Mac is used a lot in recording studios , in the laboratories of graphic , DJs and, in general , in the artistic studies of music , photography and design.

6. - It is a good opportunity : This is obvious , if you like the Mac from an aesthetic point of view , then it is worth to buy it if you can find it at a good price. - Because do you want a computer that has both Windows and Mac : have a computer that can boot with Windows or OS X, then you should buy a Mac where it is easy to make this dual installation You don’t need an optical drive( CD or DVD ).
