first select a suitable
company type.

COMPANY TYPES
In Spain, investors can opt
for limited liability
companies, joint stock
companies, partnerships,
sole traders and branch
offices.

SUBSCRIBE
THE MINIMUM CAPITAL
The capital varies
based on the
selected business
form.

OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT
Spanish businesses
need to have a
corporate bank
account.
The account can be
set up at any
commercial bank
operating in Spain.

TAX IDENTIFICATION
Considering that the
company is registered for
commercial purposes, it
must also have a tax
identification number.

LICENSES AND PERMITS
Investors must
also apply for
special permits
and licenses
(they can vary
based on the
industry).

VAT REGISTRATION
Another tax-related obligation is to
apply for a VAT number.

CORPORATE TAX
Spanish businesses must pay the corporate
income tax, currently charged at 2 rates:
25% 15%

SHAREHOLDING
