The Iguanodon was one of the first dinosaurs ever
discovered, found in England in 1822. It lived about
125 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous
period. This herbivorous giant could reach up to 10
meters in length and walk on both two and four
legs. Its most unique feature was a large thumb
spike, likely used for defense against predators.
The discovery of Iguanodon was so important
that it helped scientists define the group we now
call “dinosaurs.”

The Archaeopteryx was discovered in Germany in 1861 and is
often called the “first bird.” It lived about 150 million years ago
during the Late Jurassic period. This small creature had
feathers and wings like a bird, but also teeth, claws, and a
long bony tail like a dinosaur. Archaeopteryx became one of
the most important fossils ever found because it showed the
clear link between dinosaurs and modern birds.Archaeopteryx (1861,

The Tyrannosaurus rex, often called T-Rex, is one of
the most famous dinosaurs ever discovered. It lived
about 67 million years ago during the Late
Cretaceous period. T-Rex was a massive predator,
reaching over 12 meters in length and weighing
several tons. Its powerful jaws and sharp teeth made
it one of the top hunters of its time. The most
complete fossil, known as “Sue,” was found in the
United States in 1990 and is now displayed at the
Field Museum in Chicago.

The Brachiosaurus was one of the largest dinosaurs to
ever live. It lived around 150 million years ago during the
Late Jurassic period. Unlike many other dinosaurs,
Brachiosaurus had longer front legs than back legs,
giving it a giraffe-like posture. This giant herbivore could
reach up to 25 meters in length and used its long neck
to eat leaves from the tallest trees. Fossils of
Brachiosaurus were first discovered in the north america
