Simon Nice has occupied the role of Chief Engineer -Head of
Maintenance with Airflite for 12 years, specializing in General
Aviation aircraft and the Flight School fleet arm of the Airflite
business. Prior to this, Simon worked across a diverse array of the
workshops and specialty service areas of Airflite’s core business units
as a LAME, totalling a 20+ year career with Airflite. Simon’s
responsibility extends to the management of technical,
administrative, quality, customer service and financial teams. Simon
plays a key role within Airflite, with his perspective, broad
experience, and focus on safety, quality and customer engagement.

Airflite MRTs –Mobile Repair Teams
Airflite has extensive experience in dispatching Mobile Repair Teams all over
South East Asia. These teams provide a range of capabilities from Avionics
Installations, Aircraft Accident Recovery and Repair, Hot Section Inspections,
Engine Changes to Scheduled Deeper Maintenance.
Removal of Wipaire8000 floats from an
Indonesian Cessna Caravan in Singapore.
Airflite has performed several major C208B wing and airframe repairs in the field,
including a C208B that suffered significant wing damage in Bangladesh and a
C208B that suffered a hard landing in West Papua.
In 2014 Airflite sent a team of 4 to Japan to
carry out a repair to a FwdFuselage Carry
Thru Structure on behalf of Cessna.
